<p>As an Environment Artist (Lighting Focus) at Keywords Studios, you will create high-quality environment art with a strong emphasis on lighting, mood, and atmosphere. You will build, iterate, and optimise lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>

<li>Build, iterate, and optimise lighting setups that support gameplay, narrative, and artistic direction.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with art direction, level design, and tech art to ensure lighting enhances spatial readability and performance.</li>
<li>Author and maintain lighting passes, post-processing profiles, and environment shaders/materials as needed.</li>
<li>Troubleshoot lighting issues related to performance, consistency, or technical constraints across platforms.</li>
<li>Contribute to visual benchmarks and help establish best practices for lighting workflows.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Proven experience as an Environment or Lighting Artist on a shipped AAA or high-quality game project.</li>
<li>Strong portfolio demonstrating lighting, composition, and environment art fundamentals.</li>
<li>Proficiency with modern game engines (Unreal, Unity or proprietary engines).</li>
<li>Solid understanding of lighting theory, color, exposure, and real-time rendering.</li>
<li>Experience with PBR workflows and optimisation for real-time environments.</li>
<li>Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and iterate quickly based on feedback.</li>
<li>Experience with lighting tools, profiling/debugging, or scripting for workflow automation.</li>
</ul>
