      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We&#39;re looking for a Design Manager to lead and grow a team shaping the future of Spotify&#39;s Subscriptions Mission. This team sits at the center of one of Spotify&#39;s most critical company bets: driving sustainable free and paid user growth while delivering meaningful value to listeners around the world.</p>
<p>Subscriptions is the primary driver of Spotify&#39;s success. Our teams focus on acquisition, conversion, retention, pricing &amp; packaging, and evolving the value of Premium across music, podcasts, and audiobooks. As Design Manager, you&#39;ll play a key role in defining how users experience that value, from their first touchpoint with Spotify to long-term loyalty.</p>
<p>You will lead a team of product and content designers embedded across cross-functional squads, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, User Research, Data Science, Marketing, and Regional teams to craft cohesive, global subscription experiences. You&#39;ll balance experimentation with craft, short-term impact with long-term system health, and business growth with user trust.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and grow a high-impact team of designers working across subscription initiatives</li>
<li>Manage, coach, and support designers through mentorship, feedback, and career development</li>
<li>Build a strong design culture grounded in collaboration, inclusion, and craft excellence</li>
<li>Define and evolve the design vision across acquisition, conversion, pricing, packaging, and retention</li>
<li>Ensure experimentation (A/B tests, feature rollouts, pricing changes) aligns with a cohesive long-term experience strategy</li>
<li>Advocate for user-centered, data-informed decision-making across the mission</li>
<li>Partner with cross-functional leaders to improve conversion, onboarding, Premium education, churn reduction, and winback strategies</li>
<li>Collaborate with Marketing and Brand to ensure consistency across product surfaces and growth channels</li>
<li>Design for global audiences by balancing consistency with local relevance in partnership with regional teams</li>
<li>Champion accessibility and inclusive design across all subscription touchpoints</li>
<li>Strengthen design systems and improve experimentation workflows, QA, and cross-team alignment</li>
<li>Support teams in adopting Generative AI for concepting, prototyping, and experimentation</li>
<li>Partner with Product and Engineering to identify where AI can unlock speed, creativity, and user value</li>
<li>Provide design leadership and hands-on guidance on complex interaction, systems, and service design challenges when needed</li>
</ul>
<p>Who You Are:</p>
<ul>
<li>You have 5+ years of experience leading design teams in consumer digital products</li>
<li>You have experience working on growth, monetization, or subscription-based products</li>
<li>You are experienced in product design and experience strategy, especially in experimentation-heavy environments</li>
<li>You collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, and Data to deliver measurable outcomes</li>
<li>You balance high-quality craft with speed and iteration</li>
<li>You care deeply about user-centered design, behavioral design, and lifecycle thinking</li>
<li>You are comfortable navigating ambiguity in fast-moving environments</li>
<li>You communicate clearly and influence stakeholders across multiple levels</li>
<li>You have experience building and developing strong, inclusive design teams</li>
<li>You have designed for global audiences and understand localization considerations</li>
<li>You are familiar with Generative AI tools and workflows in design</li>
<li>You integrate AI into your workflow to improve speed and quality</li>
<li>You are thoughtful about ethics, accessibility, and quality in AI-driven experiences</li>
<li>You are excited to help teams responsibly leverage AI in both internal workflows and user-facing experiences</li>
</ul>
<p>Where You&#39;ll Be:</p>

<li>This role is based in London or Stockholm</li>
<li>We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in-person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.</li>
