As a Heat Treatment Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of heat treatment specialists and ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our heat treatment processes.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>\n<p>As a Heat Treatment Team Leader, you will be responsible for:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delegating and managing workflow to achieve the required levels of quality and output</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring that operations carried out by your team and visitors are conducted in accordance with relevant safety documentation or policies</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinating with the H&amp;S team or department manager to escalate any issues or incidents</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintaining accurate records and reports</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Day to Day</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that operations carried out by your team and visitors are conducted in accordance with relevant safety documentation or policies</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure safe working practices are in place by liaising with the H&amp;S team or department manager to escalate any issues/incidents</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that any daily/weekly/monthly checks are completed</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that new team members are trained in accordance with the company and work area induction pack</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for ensuring your team always maintain clean and tidy work areas (using 5S methodology)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Participate in and utilise your skills to solve work-related problems by generating RFCs, investigating NCRs and scrap booking reasons</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure your team members report any quality/manufacturing issues to the manufacturing support department</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that written processes, procedures, and standards are kept up-to-date and reflect best practice</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that team members adhere to written processes, procedures, and standards</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that set-up sheets are in place and used correctly</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure that all measuring devices in your team&#39;s area are within calibration date, any items out of date shall be made available for calibration</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist the department manager to maintain department KPI&#39;s</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Be responsible for managing your team&#39;s workload and adherence to the &#39;Work to List Rules&#39; to ensure the department KPI&#39;s are met</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About You</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance and development</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of the heat treatment process</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good knowledge of Microsoft Office</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Good understanding of manufacturing principles</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with ERP Systems</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Ideally having good understanding of Lean Manufacturing Tools (5S)</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of transmission components</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Where this role could take you</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Progression to department manager</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Gain understanding of metallurgy basics</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Will experience a wide range of all parts manufactured at Xtrac</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Will work close with and gain knowledge from other team leaders, senior heat treat technicians and metallurgists</li>\n</ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Work with production managers, quality, planning, production engineering and manufacturing engineering team</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>About Xtrac</strong></p>\n<p>Xtrac is one of the world&#39;s leading manufacturers of Motorsport and High-Performance Automotive Transmission Solutions.
