<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p>As a Lead Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for driving safety, quality, cost, delivery, people, maintenance, and environmental issues by understanding and consistently applying standard manufacturing operating system processes. You will validate and bridge operational needs to ensure the line is running safely, smoothly, and producing quality parts.</p>
<p><strong>Safety</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards</li>
<li>Review department safety metrics and coordinate improvement activities</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Quality</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Direct data-driven maintenance processes to improve quality metrics (e.g., higher FTT, less scrap, less contamination, etc.)</li>
<li>Devise and implement strategy to tighten tolerances within specifications for fit, form and functionality</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Delivery</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate the resources and activities required to ensure problem free start-ups</li>
<li>Facilitate start-up/shift-to-shift meetings</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Cost</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Promote and ensure continuous improvement in the manufacturing engineering organization toward the common goal of improving product quality, plant competitiveness and total cost structure</li>
<li>Monitor, control, and improve Maintenance Cost Per Unit (MCPU)</li>
<li>Optimize throughput in accordance with budgets and cost objectives: meet or beat schedule</li>
<li>Manage and support material control (spare part inventory), repair and rebuild programs, and reliability and maintainability reviews</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>People</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise salaried employees</li>
<li>Build Team Leaders’ and Team Members’ capabilities; mentor subordinates</li>
<li>Basic Administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Maintenance</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead all daily, weekend and shutdown maintenance planning with input from your team(s)</li>
<li>Integrate the maintenance plan into total department business plan</li>
<li>Use Maximo to analyze data and evaluate the effectiveness of the preventive maintenance plan</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Environment</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure department compliance with government, industry, and corporate standards</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<p><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Education: High School Diploma</li>
<li>Experience: 1-2 years technical work experience and troubleshooting in a Manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls</li>
<li>Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering</li>
<li>Experience: 3-5 years automotive experience</li>
<li>Body shop/stamping/paint/subassembly experience preferred</li>
<li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles</li>
<li>Knowledge of constraint management principles</li>
<li>Safety and Quality experience preferred</li>
<li>Microsoft Office knowledge (Word/Excel/Outlook)</li>
<li>Prior experience managing a unionized work force</li>
<li>CNC machining experience (PTO specific)</li>
<li>Helium leak stand experience (PTO specific)</li>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking a Senior Production Supervisor to join our team. As a Senior Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and coaching production teams to improve efficiency and quality. You will use your Six Sigma Black Belt Certified skills to teach, coach, and problem-solve major concerns on priority issues for the organisation. You will also deliver project results and support the plant in significant change initiatives.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>

<li>Use and have a thorough understanding of Six Sigma (Black Belt Certified requirement), Lean and Problem-Solving Methodologies and Ford Production System (FPS) approach to improve all areas of the business</li>

<li>Coach Plant OCM and Green belts in strategic problem solving and Six Sigma methodologies</li>

<li>Teach Six Sigma Green Belt classes and help prepare students for certification</li>
<li>Coach and teach Ford Production System methods including standards and project selection</li>
<li>Coach and mentor Green Belts to use 6 Sigma tools properly and complete projects</li>
<li>Run 6 Sigma Kaizen projects to support resolution of significant issues</li>
<li>Lead 6 Sigma continuous improvement projects to resolve significant issues</li>
