<p>The Medical Director, Small Cell Lung Cancer is a pivotal role within the US Oncology Medical Affairs organization. Reporting directly to the Medical Head, this position is accountable for driving medical plans for specific or multiple indications within a designated disease area.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Driving Medical Plan Development: Coordinate development of the integrated Medical Affairs Plan (iMAP), complete key projects, and track budget spend</li>
<li>Leading Launch Readiness: Support Launch Readiness Reviews (LRR) by coordinating and supervising pre-launch activities, ensuring timely execution of endorsed LRR plans</li>
<li>Shaping Field Engagement Strategy: Synthesize field insights into practical tactics, connect with business collaborators, and modify plans as necessary</li>
<li>Implementing MALT Directives: Complete all Medical Affairs Leadership Team (MALT) initiatives as requested</li>
</ul>
<p>Cross-functional collaboration includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Facilitating Quarterly Reviews: Support quarterly iMAP reviews at the Core Medical Team (CMT) in collaboration with the Medical Lead</li>
<li>Reviewing Promotional Materials: Support the Promotional Materials Review Team (PMRT) by reviewing derivative content for scientific accuracy and compliance</li>
<li>Providing Cross-Functional Coverage: Support the Medical Lead on the CMT</li>
</ul>
<p>External engagement and stakeholder management involves:</p>
<ul>
<li>Driving Key External Expert (KEE) Engagement: Implement and supervise KEE engagement plans with follow-up to improve engagement and impact</li>
<li>Implementing Advisory Boards: Independently set meeting objectives, develop discussion guides, and lead communications with vendors to execute effective Advisory Boards</li>
<li>Leading Congress Activities: Plan congress activities, gather insights, handle communications, and partner with Field leadership to ensure effective pull-through at events</li>
</ul>
<p>Evidence and medical education includes:</p>
<ul>
<li>Overseeing Evidence Reviews: Conduct evidence publication reviews and participate in Medical Education Grants Office (MEGO) selection processes</li>
<li>Implementing Medical Projects: Complete Medical projects while staying within scope and budget</li>
</ul>
<p>Patient-centricity involves:</p>
<ul>
<li>Building Patient Insight Capability: Work closely with Medical Affairs colleagues on research alliance initiatives, capability development programs, and tools/technology initiatives</li>
</ul>
<p>Compliance and ethics require:</p>
<ul>
<li>Maintaining Compliance Standards: Adhere to all ethical and compliance standards as determined by the organization and/or market regulations</li>
</ul>
<p>Essential requirements include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Advanced Medical/Scientific Degree (Masters minimum; advanced degree strongly preferred in a scientific background)</li>
<li>3+ years of Medical Affairs experience in the pharmaceutical industry (including at least 1 year of headquarter experience)</li>
<li>Headquarters Medical Affairs Experience: Prior experience in pharmaceutical industry headquarters Medical Affairs functions</li>
<li>Stakeholder Management Expertise: Validated experience in relationship and collaborator management with the 3 P&#39;s (Payers, Providers, and Patients)</li>
<li>Project Management Skills: Demonstrated project and relationship management experience</li>
<li>Clinical Research Knowledge: Experience with evidence generation and clinical trial methodology</li>
<li>Business Acumen: Foundation knowledge in business operations and strategy</li>
<li>Financial Management: Foundation knowledge in financial management and budget tracking</li>
<li>Matrix Team Functionality: Specialist-level experience working effectively in matrix organizations</li>

<p>As part of the Game Developer Experience (GDX) organization, you will work directly with product and engineering teams to ensure services are ready before they go live. This includes identifying operational gaps, aligning on what &#39;ready&#39; looks like, and helping teams address those gaps prior to launch.</p>
<p>In this role, you will partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Service Operation leaders to ensure products are prepared to operate in production from day one. You will help teams define and meet clear expectations for observability, automation, documentation, and support readiness.</p>
<p>This is a hybrid role (3 days per week in the office) reporting to the Director of Service Operations.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work with product and engineering teams to ensure services are operationally ready before go-live, identifying gaps and helping drive them to resolution prior to launch</li>
<li>Lead and support launch readiness reviews, ensuring services meet expectations before production and that risks are clearly understood</li>
<li>Ensure teams have the necessary operational foundations in place before launch, including runbooks, monitoring and alerting, on-call readiness, and clear incident response paths</li>
<li>Identify operational risks early, work with teams on mitigation plans, and support decisions when risks remain at launch</li>
<li>Partner across Engineering, Product, SRE, Customer Support, and Operations to align on readiness expectations and ensure accountability for closing gaps</li>
<li>Enable a digital-first, automation-forward support approach by ensuring products are designed with operational readiness from Day 1</li>
<li>Integrate standards for observability, automation, and operational workflows into how products are built and launched</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>8+ years of experience in Operations, Technical Program Management, Platform Operations, or similar roles working closely with product and engineering teams</li>
<li>Experience preparing services or products for launch, including defining readiness expectations and working through operational gaps prior to go-live</li>
<li>Strong understanding of operational practices such as monitoring, alerting, incident response, runbooks, and on-call readiness</li>
<li>Experience working across multiple teams to align on priorities, address risks, and drive outcomes</li>
<li>Ability to identify operational risks, communicate tradeoffs, and support decision-making in complex environments</li>
</ul>

<p>The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).</p>
<p><strong>PAY RANGES</strong></p>
<p>\\\<em> British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) \\</em>$133,500 - $186,400 CAD</p>
<p>Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.</p>
<p>For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
