Senior Product Marketing Manager

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to help accelerate the growth of Replit Agent— a core part of our mission to allow anyone to build software, without any coding experience.

This role sits at the crossroads of product, engineering, and go-to-market, ensuring that every new feature we ship lands with clarity, excitement, and impact. You’ll work closely with our engineers, PMs and Partnership teams to understand the product roadmap, then translate those innovations into compelling narratives that resonate with builders of all kinds — from solo builders to enterprise teams.

Responsibilities

Lead Product Marketing for our Launches: Develop and operationalize Replit’s launch motion — from early roadmap planning through public release. Create repeatable frameworks that keep launches fast, clear, and coordinated.

Shape Messaging & Positioning: Craft technically fluent, developer-first narratives that highlight how Replit’s AI coding agent accelerates creativity and productivity. Tailor messaging to different developer segments and channels.

Create Sales & Growth Enablement: Build the first generation of enablement materials (decks, demos, battlecards, FAQs) that empower GTM teams and partners to tell Replit’s story confidently.

Lead Competitive and Market Insights: Stay ahead of the fast-moving landscape in AI coding assistants and app development platforms. Identify key trends, threats, and whitespace opportunities that shape how Replit stands out.

Co-market with our Partner ecosystem

You’ll also leverage your storytelling expertise to collaborate with our partner ecosystem, crafting compelling “Better Together” narratives that elevate our joint value and propel partner marketing initiatives

Analyze & Learn: Define metrics, gather insights, and feed back learnings from the field and community to inform product and marketing strategies.

Requirements

Have 8+ years of work experience, including 6+ years in product marketing (ideally within the app development space)

Love building from scratch — frameworks, processes, teams, and strategy

Excellent written communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complexity

Are equally comfortable writing a launch announcement, building a competitive teardown, or running a cross-functional sync

Have a founder mindset: you identify gaps and fill them, move quickly, and don’t wait for someone else to define the playbook

Proven ability to partner directly with engineers and product managers, turning technical concepts into simple, powerful stories

Strong project management skills — you can juggle multiple launches and keep teams aligned under pressure

Experience with sales enablement and competitive positioning for technical audiences

A collaborative, low-ego approach and willingness to dig into the details

Bonus Points

Experience in app development space or marketing to product managers, designers, sales, marketing or operations teams

Experience with Partner/Ecosystem Marketing — to start with, we are looking for a generalist who can also help out with Partner Marketing

Experience at a startup or high-growth environment where speed and adaptability matter

This role is at-will and OpenAI reserves the right to modify base pay and other compensation components at any time based on individual performance, team or company results, or market conditions.

About the Team

The B2B Marketing team contributes to OpenAI’s broader mission of ensuring responsible and widespread adoption of artificial intelligence. We are responsible for developing and executing strategies that drive awareness, engagement, and usage for OpenAI’s products and platform. We take a data-driven approach to understand our customers' needs and challenges, ensuring that their voices are reflected in product development and messaging. We then partner closely with Product, Engineering, Growth, Sales, Research, Comms, and Design teams to create a cohesive customer experience across all our channels.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly technical Product Marketing Manager to help drive adoption and growth of Codex. This role requires deep familiarity with developer tools, coding workflows, and modern AI-assisted development environments.

Codex is becoming an essential AI collaborator for developers—helping them write, understand, and ship code faster across real production workflows. You will help translate technical innovation into clear value for developers, shape how Codex is positioned in a rapidly evolving AI coding landscape, and drive programs that expand adoption and usage across the developer ecosystem.

This is a highly cross-functional role that blends traditional product marketing responsibilities with developer ecosystem fluency and growth thinking. You will work closely with Product, Developer Experience, Sales, and Growth teams to launch new capabilities, enable go-to-market teams, and ensure Codex continues to resonate with developers building software.

The ideal candidate combines strong product marketing fundamentals with deep technical fluency and a strong intuition for how developers discover, evaluate, and adopt new tools.

Responsibilities

Lead product launches for Codex and its underlying models: Build launch strategies that clearly communicate product-market fit for developers. Develop messaging and positioning, shape announcement moments, write launch blogs and technical content, and coordinate cross-functional teams through launch planning and execution.

Develop compelling messaging and competitive positioning: Define how Codex is differentiated in the rapidly evolving AI coding ecosystem across tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and other developer platforms.

Drive developer adoption and product growth: Partner with Growth and Design teams to design campaigns that increase awareness, acquisition, and ongoing usage of Codex across the developer ecosystem.

Create developer-focused content and narratives: Produce high-quality content including blogs, technical explainers, launch posts, demos, landing pages, and social content in collaboration with Developer Experience and Engineering teams.

Enable Sales and GTM teams: Develop technical narratives, sales materials, and enablement assets that help Sales and Solutions Engineering position Codex within real developer workflows and communicate its value to both technical and executive stakeholders—from startups to enterprises.

Develop a deep understanding of developer workflows: Regularly engage with developers and engineering leaders through research, customer conversations, Gong calls, and market analysis to understand how developers discover, evaluate, and use coding tools.

Bring developer insights back to Product and Engineering: Act as a voice of the developer by translating market signals and user feedback into product insights that help shape roadmap decisions and product strategy.

Measure launch and campaign impact: Track adoption, usage, and developer engagement metrics post-launch to continuously refine positioning, campaigns, and product messaging.

Requirements

Has 14+ years of experience in technical product marketing
