About the Role

The Customer Advocacy Intern will support the team responsible for building, managing and growing customer marketing programs. Reporting to the Head of Customer Advocacy, the ideal candidate will be interested in a focus on both customer engagement and scaling customer programs in high growth SaaS companies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the GTM teams to develop and execute customer marketing strategies that align with business goals.
• Support the research, writing, and editing of engaging case studies, customer interviews, and other marketing collateral.
• Learn and support marketing and customer advocacy tech stack.
• Contribute to planning and brainstorming sessions, bringing creative ideas and new efficiencies using AI to the table.
• Support the team in analyzing advocacy activity performance and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly reporting, including newsletters

Skills & Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Journalism, English, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• Available for a full-time 12-week internship, working from our Austin or San Francisco office 3-5 days a week during the summer (May-Aug).
• A strong portfolio showcasing your writing samples across different formats (e.g., blog posts, articles, essays).
• Ability to write clearly, concisely, and adaptably for various digital platforms and audiences.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong research skills and a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
• A passion for technology and its impact on the internet is desirable.

Compensation

Estimated hourly pay of $24/hour.

The successful candidate will work with the Manager, Medical Liaison to ensure the promoter's compliance with the Medical Minimum Standard per the IMSA Sanction Agreement. They will act as a liaison between the medical personnel providing medical care for the participants and IMSA upper management, in compliance with HIPAA. The candidate will report and relay information within designated timeframes, close gaps in communication, and escalate issues at appropriate times and through appropriate channels.

Responsibilities include maintaining and ensuring accuracy of databases, assisting with record, tracking, and providing patient data to treating physicians, completing reports in accordance with HIPAA and applicable policy and procedures, establishing a consistent rapport with IMSA staff, participants, and promoters, and serving as a resource for medical guidance at events while being HIPAA compliant.

The Part-Time, Medical Liaison will also serve as the primary resource to facilitate and coordinate lodging and travel accommodations for a participant's family at events, establish a service of excellence through high customer satisfaction by displaying attentive, tactful, and diplomatic responses to others, and assist in the office prior to the start of the season as needed.

100% travel is required, including weekends.
