947f4356-d97 Senior Radiation Effects Engineer As our Senior Radiation Effects Engineer, you will be responsible for characterizing radiation environments for our missions and testing analysis for our spacecraft. This position requires hands-on experience validating parts for radiation environments specific to aerospace.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Designing fault-tolerant electrical systems for operating in a radiation environment
  • Simulating and modeling the GTO and GEO radiation environments
  • Coordinating and running radiation testing campaigns to upscreen components
  • Working with the structures team to determine the proper shielding levels across the spacecraft
  • Integrating these systems into the spacecraft by working closely with the rest of the team
  • Supporting other electrical design, bringup, and test activities
  • Assisting in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring additional teammates to our rapidly-growing team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or equivalent technical field
  • A passion for hardware development, including working in a fast-paced environment and hands-on design and development
  • Experience with the Geostationary radiation environment (TID, SEE, DDD)
  • Experience with designing for and testing for radiation effects
  • Experience in testing analog and digital circuits
  • Experience with high reliability systems
  • US Citizenship or Green Card
