c25ad13a-c85 Automation Tech III At Bayer, we're seeking an Automation Tech III to join our team in Chesterfield, Missouri. As a key member of our Engineering & Technology department, you will play a crucial role in supporting automation build, start-up, test, deployment, and repair. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, setting up, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing new equipment, including custom prototypes. You will also assemble and commission complex custom machinery per engineering design documentation, ensuring all objectives including safety, technical correctness, maintainability, operability, and documentation are met.

In addition to your technical expertise, you will interface with various engineering disciplines, customers, and vendors/suppliers, train operations, maintenance, and other personnel as required, and participate in check-out, commissioning, testing, start-up, and field support. You will also contribute to modification of existing procedures, standards, and practices to stay current with technology and assist with the implementation of improved methods.

As an Automation Tech III, you will identify safety risks, participate in safety reviews, and understand safety strategies, including interlocks, alarms, procedures, safety systems, etc. You will also provide direction and mentoring to other technicians in the execution of tasks as appropriate, perform complex system start-up, troubleshooting, and repairs in remote environments, and troubleshoot with end-users to advise repairs in-person and via phone, email, etc.
