<p>As a Maintenance Supervisor - Paint, you will:</p>
<ul>
<li>Supervise, mentor, and coach unionized skilled trades</li>
<li>Enforce and ensure strict compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards</li>
<li>Lead, plan, and oversee all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance, emergency breakdowns, and daily start-up procedures</li>
<li>Monitor and assess employee performance, manage concerns, and exercise disciplinary action if necessary</li>
<li>Develop and implement training strategies for team members and celebrate accomplishments</li>
<li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and facilitate timely repairs of equipment breakdowns, driving root cause analysis to eliminate downtime and improve mean time between failures</li>
<li>Coordinate resources, materials, and schedules with production departments to minimize impact on production, maximize equipment effectiveness, and adhere to budgetary and time constraints</li>
<li>Conduct regular safety audits, take appropriate action to protect employee health and safety, and assure adherence to all organisational policies and procedures</li>
<li>Champion and lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate production bottlenecks, reduce waste, and enhance productivity and quality</li>
<li>Utilize plant reporting tools and performance metrics to analyse data, identify improvement opportunities, and implement cost-saving measures</li>
<li>Support production departments in meeting targets and contribute to improving standard practices</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>College Diploma or Skilled-Trade Certificate of Qualification</li>
<li>2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment</li>
<li>Must be able to work all shifts; days, afternoons, midnights</li>
<li>Bachelor&#39;s Degree in a technical field or equivalent is an asset</li>
<li>Experience of supervising skilled trades personnel in a unionised manufacturing environment is preferred</li>
<li>Six Sigma: Black or Green Belt certified is an asset</li>
<li>Knowledge of constraint management principles is an asset</li>
<li>Experience troubleshooting and repairing automated equipment is an asset</li>
<li>Experience with industrial robots is an asset</li>
<li>Outstanding, interpersonal team-building and communication skills are essential</li>
<li>Ability to interact with all employees in the organisation</li>
<li>Knowledge of common industrial machine components and the ability to source them is an asset</li>
<li>Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc.)</li>
</ul>
<p>Salary:</p>
<ul>
<li>The expected annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00 - $135,000.00</li>
<li>Individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus programme</li>
</ul>
