<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<p>Learning Strategy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business objectives, performance goals, and workforce development needs in the automotive manufacturing and EV sectors Conduct in-depth analysis of learning requirements, job roles, and skill gaps to develop comprehensive learning strategies and frameworks Design and implement strategic plans for training programs, career development pathways, competency frameworks, and performance improvement initiatives Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design and learning strategies to inform strategy development</p>
<p>Curriculum Design and Development: Lead the design and development of instructional curricula and learning materials tailored to the needs of automotive manufacturing and EV manufacturing Conduct thorough needs assessments, task analyses, and learner profiling to inform curriculum design decisions Create engaging and interactive instructional materials, including instructor-led training (ILT), e-learning modules, videos, microlearning resources, assessments, and job aids Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure accuracy, relevancy, and alignment of instructional content with industry standards and organizational goals</p>
<p>Learning Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of learning programs, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to established quality standards Monitor and analyze learner feedback, performance data, and evaluation results to continuously improve learning programs and enhance learner outcomes Conduct periodic reviews of curriculum and make updates based on changes in automotive manufacturing processes, EV technologies, and industry regulations</p>
<p>Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and trainers, to develop and implement learning solutions Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and external partners to ensure alignment of learning strategies with organizational objectives Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting learning strategies, progress updates, and evaluation findings to gain support and drive continuous improvement</p>
<p>Professional Development and Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design, learning theories, and adult learning principles Explore innovative approaches to learning, including gamification, immersive technologies, and social learning, and propose their integration into training programs Prioritize retention of manufacturing knowledge to accumulate expertise and gain perspective on the business we support</p>
<p>Qualifications: Bachelor&#39;s degree in Instructional Design, Learning and Development, or a related field Significant experience in instructional systems design, curriculum development, and learning strategy implementation Strong expertise in instructional design models, learning theories, and adult learning principles Proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, multimedia software, instructional technologies and learning management systems (LMS) Demonstrated experience in designing and managing comprehensive learning strategies, competency frameworks, and career development programs Excellent project management skills, including planning, organizing, and coordinating multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess training needs, evaluate program effectiveness, and propose data-driven solutions Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at various organizational levels</p>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking a dynamic and systems-oriented Instructional System Designer to join the Test &amp; Evaluation Training team. This role will focus on designing scalable frameworks, processes, and platforms to implement technical training solutions that meet the needs of both internal employees and external clients.</p>
<p>The ISD will collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Training Operations, Curriculum Developer, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to operationalize training content into systems and structures that enable seamless delivery and accessibility for diverse end-user audiences. As a key partner in training lifecycle, the ISD will help design the “how” of training delivery with a focus on scalability, effectiveness, and system performance.</p>
<p>Systems Design &amp; Implementation:</p>
<ul>
<li>Design and implement scalable instructional systems, frameworks, and processes to deliver highly technical training content (e.g., LMS platforms, SCORM-compliant systems, virtual training platforms, or other performance support tools).</li>
<li>Develop innovative approaches to operationalizing technical training, optimizing delivery methods while working within the constraints of Air Force or other military standards and regulations.</li>
<li>Test and validate system performance to ensure seamless integration of training content developed by Curriculum Developers.</li>
<li>Conduct usability testing to ensure systems meet the needs of end-users, including engineers, pilots, maintainers, and government clients.</li>
</ul>
<p>Stakeholder Collaboration:</p>
<ul>

<p>Evaluation &amp; Optimization:</p>

<li>Develop methods to monitor and report on system and learner performance, using LMS data, analytics dashboards, and evaluation models (e.g., Kirkpatrick’s Levels of Evaluation).</li>
<li>Analyze data to refine implementation strategies, improve training effectiveness, and adapt to changing requirements.</li>
<li>Partner with stakeholders to provide insights on how training systems contribute to performance outcomes and organizational objectives in technical or military contexts.</li>

<p>Standardization &amp; Compliance:</p>
<ul>
<li>Ensure all training systems and their implementation comply with military standards (e.g., Air Force training specifications), organizational policies, and industry benchmarks such as SCORM or xAPI.</li>
<li>Maintain consistent documentation of systems processes, best practices, and lessons learned to create scalable, repeatable training system operations.</li>

<p>Required Qualifications:</p>

<li>Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Systems Engineering, Educational Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>5+ years experience as an Instructional Systems Designer or similar role, with demonstrated success in designing scalable frameworks for technical, engineering, aerospace, or defense-related environments.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Air Force or other U.S. military training programs, including their standards and operational constraints, is required.</li>
<li>Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively in a matrixed and high-stakes environment.</li>
<li>Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions while balancing organizational constraints.</li>
