As a FBS SQL Developer, you will design and develop computer programs and monitor the work of junior staff to ensure accuracy of program logic and efficient use of computer resources. You will perform preliminary evaluation of packaged software, conduct system studies, analyze and evaluate existing manual and computerized systems/procedures to improve efficiency, and develop techniques for automating processes as appropriate.

Key responsibilities include coding instructions for computer programs/objects/components, configuring packaged software, testing and implementing all changes to ensure they meet specifications. You will also document and implement programs according to installation standards and conventions, quality check program code, related objects, and documentation, respond to Production Support issues, and work with business as required.

Additionally, you will conduct preliminary estimates/Rough Order of Magnitude for the level of effort of new/change to application functionality, analyze and make recommendations for the need for system backup, security, restart/recovery, balancing & controls, and recommend approaches for meeting such needs. You will also analyze and document the requirements and approaches to data conversion and data modeling, conduct system studies, analyze existing computerized and manual processes to improve efficiency, research and develop techniques for automation, as approved, and monitor the work of junior staff to ensure efficiency and compliance with specification.

You will design and develop documentation of proposed procedures and systems, perform preliminary evaluation of packaged software, manage and control system development projects, support implementation/training activities, and troubleshoot system environmental issues as required.
