Ten years later, the team is still building momentum, guided by clear objectives and technical partnerships, and fresh from securing its second biggest points haul in a Formula 1 season.</p>\n<p>Yes, you’ll learn from us, but we expect to learn from you too!</p>\n<p><strong>General Summary:</strong></p>\n<p>This position reports to the Head of IT or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. The Infrastructure Operations Manager is responsible for the strategy, reliability, performance and continuous improvement of Haas F1 Team’s IT infrastructure, platforms and core systems.</p>\n<p>The role ensures infrastructure initiatives and operational needs are delivered safely, on time and within budget, with a clear focus on service quality, resilience, security and innovation. It ensures infrastructure requirements are defined, prioritised and delivered in line with business needs and operational standards.</p>\n<p><strong>General Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments.</li>\n<li>Responsible for the overall performance of the Infrastructure, Cloud and Apps team, ensuring targets and milestones are achieved.</li>\n<li>Manage department personnel from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement through to separation.</li>\n<li>Mentor, train and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans.</li>\n<li>Responsible for working within departmental budgets.</li>\n<li>Produce monthly reports to the Head of IT detailing the status of the team, infrastructure and projects.</li>\n<li>Other duties as assigned by the Head of IT or their designee.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, mentor and develop a collaborative and high-performing team through recruitment, onboarding, training and coaching, setting clear expectations and fostering accountability.</li>\n<li>Define and execute the strategy for IT infrastructure, platforms and core systems, owning the full lifecycle and providing governance and technical leadership.</li>\n<li>Drive innovation and continuous improvement to deliver modern, secure, scalable, resilient and highly available services, underpinned by robust backup and tested disaster recovery capabilities.</li>\n<li>Oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, ensuring service quality, resilience and operational excellence across all supported environments.</li>\n<li>Maintain and optimise on-premises and cloud infrastructure, platforms and core systems, ensuring performance, capacity, patching and lifecycle management.</li>\n<li>Lead and ensure end-to-end delivery of infrastructure projects and improvements, ensuring scope, timelines, budgets, risks and dependencies are effectively managed.</li>\n<li>Establish, monitor and report on KPIs and SLAs to drive prioritisation and measurable service improvements.</li>\n<li>Manage Incident &amp; Corrective Action and Change Control processes.</li>\n<li>Ensure infrastructure and platform continuity during major incidents, remaining contactable outside normal hours and leading response and recovery, either directly or by coordinating the required resources.</li>\n<li>Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers, including contract/term negotiation and performance oversight.</li>\n<li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, translate demand into technical roadmaps and maximise value delivered.</li>\n<li>Perform hands-on administration duties as required.</li>\n<li>Provide 3rd line technical support escalation services, ensuring adherence to SLAs.</li>\n<li>Oversee ad hoc projects as assigned.</li>\n<li>Follow all safety regulations in all venues.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Education and Work Experience:</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Further education such as BSc or MIS in an IT related qualification or equivalent experience required.</li>\n<li>Over 10 years of progressive IT experience, including at least 2 years in a team leader or managerial role.</li>\n<li>IT and cyber/information security certifications are advantageous.</li>\n<li>Exposure to international environments is advantageous.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Specialised Knowledge and Skills:</strong></p>\n<p>Technical expertise</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Extensive technical knowledge and hands-on experience across on-premises and cloud enterprise infrastructure and platforms.</li>\n<li>Proven experience in infrastructure operations, including service reliability, performance, availability, capacity and lifecycle management.</li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of Microsoft server, cloud and client environments.</li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of virtualisation, containerisation, enterprise networking, Linux-based platforms and system integration across complex environments.</li>\n<li>Demonstratable ability to embed secure-by-design practices and security controls into infrastructure and platforms as standard.</li>\n<li>HPC experience is advantageous.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Leadership, strategy and delivery</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Proven success in infrastructure operations management and strategy development, translating business needs into practical roadmaps.</li>\n<li>Demonstrable ability to lead, mentor and develop high-performing teams, setting clear expectations and driving accountability.</li>\n<li>Strong project and delivery management capability, with a proven track record of delivering key IT projects and change initiatives, balancing scope, risk, budget and timelines.</li>\n<li>Experience managing end-to-end infrastructure delivery, from requirements and design through build, transition to run and continual improvement.</li>\n<li>Ability to align technology initiatives with business objectives, ensuring outcomes are measurable and value-led.</li>\n</ul>\n<p>Working style and behaviours</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations, making clear decisions and driving issues through to resolution at pace.</li>\n<li>Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.</li>\n<li>Comfortable operating at pace with frequent context switching, resolving complex issues quickly, and sustaining focus on longer-term tasks when required to deliver high-quality outcomes</li>\n<li>Ability to manage and develop others, communicating clearly and collaborating effectively to achieve results.</li>\n<li>Builds strong working relationships and works effectively with stakeholders at all levels across teams and functions.</li>\n<li>Maintains a positive, supportive and professional approach, contributing to a high-performing team culture and actively helping others succeed.</li>\n<li>Demonstrates an innovative, forward-thinking mindset, driving continuous improvement and encouraging adoption of better ways of working.</li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills with a commitment to continuous learning, self-improvement and sharing knowledge with others.</li>\n<li>A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.</li>\n<li>A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Work Environment Physical Demands:</strong></p>\n<p>An ability to work and prioritise within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic or international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.</p>\n<p>This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
