      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We&#39;re looking for a Product Development Engineer to join our team in Dearborn, MI. As a Product Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and releasing enclosure and structure, cold plate, seals for electric vehicle battery packs. <p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Design &amp; Release enclosure and structure, cold plate, seals for electric vehicle battery packs</li>
<li>Manage supply base</li>
<li>Support all design phase deliverables from initial concept to launch</li>
<li>Work with supplier manufacturing, STA, and quality teams to ensure design for assembly feasibility</li>
<li>Develop &amp; maintain quality documents DFMEA, SCCAF, P-diagram, etc.</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field</li>
<li>Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience manufacturing and developing metal components and structure</li>
<li>Experience in using CAD/CAE tools and ability to optimize tool designs for stamping, welding, and sheet metal, extrusions, castings</li>
<li>Al, casting, sheet metal joining experience (MIG, SPR, Laser weld, spot welding)</li>
<li>Excellent teamwork and communication skills</li>
<li>Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred:</p>
<ul>
<li>M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or complimentary disciplines highly desired</li>
<li>5+ years of hands-on experience manufacturing and developing metal components and structure</li>
<li>One-plus (1+) years engineering experience in battery system design, usage, controls, testing, and system interactions for electrified vehicles</li>
<li>Record of innovation through invention disclosures, patents, and technical publications</li>
<li>CAD/CAE capable engineer. Catia, Teamcenter, stack-up tools, fastener health chart, GDT</li>
<li>PPAP launch experience</li>

<p>In this position, you will assist reviewing and binning early claims, support the Variability Reduction Team with statistical process control and data analysis, participate in conducting periodic job observations, and provide external and internal data checks for quality reviews.</p>
<p>You will also maintain health chart schedules and assessments, review quality leadership system charts for data accuracy and work group binning, perform subsystem checks as required, and learn control plans and verify data entry as required into web-based data management.</p>
<p>Additionally, you will assemble acceptance criteria visual aids for the VRT, maintain cycle line layout indicators with the assistance of the VRT, update and maintain the Quality Confirmation Map, and apply quality principles and analytical techniques to establish and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products.</p>
<p>You will lead roles in resolving assembly-related concerns, lead variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives and best practices, and implement interim and permanent corrective actions to resolve quality issues using 8D tools, 6-panel, etc.</p>
<p>Qualifications:</p>

<li>Min 5 years Manufacturing Experience</li>
<li>Min 5 years Quality experience</li>
<li>Previous union experience</li>
