This is an onsite role in Orange County, CA, responsible for the development and implementation of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
\nIndividuals will work in manufacturing and R&D environments focusing on EHS programs such as occupational safety, chemical management, incident management, ergonomics, industrial hygiene, storm water management, air emissions, regulated waste, etc.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\nAssisting accident/incident investigations, analysing root causes, and implementing preventative actions
\nServing as EHS interface and liaison with employees, managers, customers, auditors, and regulators
\nIdentifying workplace safety hazards and conditions for job-related tasks by performing and documenting safety inspections
\nCollaborating with other departments to guide, teach, and influence safe behaviours in the workplace
\nResponsible for hazardous waste management, including proper handling, labelling, and storage
\nRecognising requirements and ensuring compliance to safety programs and standards, including hazard communication, fall protection, respiratory protection, lockout/tag-out (LOTO), machine guarding, power & hand-held tools, electrical, emergency response, and chemical management
\nRequired qualifications include:
\n2+ years of experience implementing and overseeing environmental, health, and safety programs
\nExperience in Cal/OSHA regulations
\nExperience in 40 CFR Parts 260-279 Hazardous Waste Management
\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, effective at engaging with leadership, regulators, front-line staff, and third-party partners
\nCapability to manage multiple activities/projects and deadlines
\nU.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export-controlled sites
\nMust be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities
