We are looking for a HSE Officer to support our Health, Safety & Environment department.

Key responsibilities include:

Providing professional advice and control within the scope of the activities of the commissioner, particularly with regard to dangerous goods and waste. Preparing and reviewing the list of hazardous substances. Creating and revising substance lists in the WebSARA database. Examining safety data sheets in the context of REACH activities. Preparing operating instructions (hazardous substances) in coordination with the respective responsible persons for the central departments. Creating and revising the legal register for the German locations as well as administration of the system, including on- and offboarding of plants. Supporting those responsible in the preparation of risk assessments for hazardous substances. If required, supporting in the preparation of documentation for permits such as BImSchG. Supporting all questions about waste management. Supporting site inspections, inspections and external audits (ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001). Assisting the ESG team with HSE issues related to the preparation of CSRD/ESG reports.

Requirements include:

2-5 years of experience in the field of chemistry or mechanical engineering. Proven experience in Safety and Environmental management within an industrial environment. Fluency in both English and German (professional level) is required. Ideally, knowledge of SAP (creation and status query of requisitions). Knowledge of the use of databases (SARA, Umwelt Online). Skills and extensive knowledge for various representative activities, such as REACH officer (EU), safety officer, first aider.
