<p>Your responsibilities include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Leading engagement with the policy community, with the U.S. federal government in Washington D.C., U.S. state governments and other governments and governing bodies such as the UK and EU.</li>
<li>Explain technical AI security issues and connect to policy recommendations and actions.</li>
<li>Conduct policy analyses on AI, including open source, geopolitical implications for AI, and AI security.</li>
<li>Analyze trends in AI, such as model and AI artifact usage and effect on workforces.</li>
<li>Build strong networks with key decision-makers in government and relevant policy organizations.</li>
<li>Track and analyze relevant policy developments on AI, to inform research and analysis.</li>
<li>Work closely with technical teams internally on policy documents and research artifacts.</li>
</ul>
<p>In this role, you will work with one of the most active Machine Learning communities to combine the perspectives of diverse stakeholders and promote better technology governance. You&#39;ll interact with Researchers, ML practitioners, ethicists, and data scientists on a daily basis through GitHub, our forums, or slack.</p>
<p>We are seeking candidates who demonstrate an expert understanding of AI related policy issues, such as geopolitics, security, and economic and labor impact. You should have experience working closely with the U.S. federal government and understanding of policy processes. A background in research and analysis, with published work in media outlets or other venues is also required.</p>

<p>What you bring to the team/Minimum Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>7+ years&#39; experience in interactive entertainment, media, technology, product development, or related fields, with hands-on management in cultural analysis, authentic representation, or inclusive design.</li>
<li>Subject matter expertise in cross-cultural dynamics and geopolitics, especially about cultures and histories of East Asia or the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.</li>
<li>Expertise in intersectional identities, which may include a deeper expertise within specific identities.</li>
<li>High-quality decision-making to address challenges in creative and practical ways.</li>
</ul>

<p>COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS</p>
<p>The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).</p>
<p>PAY RANGES</p>

<li>British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) $111,600 - $152,800 CAD</li>
<li>California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) $124,100 - $182,800 USD</li>
</ul>
<p>Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.</p>
<p>In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.</p>
<p>For Canada, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.
