<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Use proprietary software applications to provide input/labels on defined projects.</li>
<li>Support and ensure the delivery of high-quality curated data.</li>
<li>Play a pivotal role in supporting and contributing to the training of new tasks, working closely with the technical staff to ensure the successful development and implementation of cutting-edge initiatives/technologies.</li>
<li>Interact with the technical staff to help improve the design of efficient annotation tools.</li>
<li>Choose problems from corporate accounting fields that align with your expertise, providing rigorous solutions and model critiques where you can confidently provide detailed solutions and evaluate model responses.</li>
</ul>
<p>Basic Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Must have 3+ years of Big 4 public accounting experience (audit/assurance) on corporate or SEC clients, or an equivalent senior corporate accounting role (e.g., Controller, Assistant Controller, or Technical Accounting Manager at a public company or large private enterprise with complex GAAP reporting).</li>
<li>Must possess a Master&#39;s or PhD in Accounting (corporate focus) or equivalent as a licensed CPA.</li>
<li>Proficiency in reading and writing, both in informal and professional English.</li>
<li>Strong ability to navigate various corporate accounting information resources, databases, and online resources (e.g., FASB codification, SEC EDGAR, 10-K/10-Q filings, ERP systems).</li>
<li>Outstanding communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational capabilities.</li>
<li>Solid reading comprehension skills combined with the capacity to exercise autonomous judgment even when presented with limited data/material.</li>
</ul>
<p>Preferred Skills and Experience:</p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years at a Big 4 firm or in a senior corporate controllership role, with direct involvement in SEC reporting, SOX 404, or complex consolidations.</li>
<li>Experience drafting or reviewing 10-K/10-Q footnotes, MD&amp;A, or technical accounting memos.</li>
<li>Possesses experience with at least one publication in a reputable accounting journal or outlet.</li>
<li>Teaching experience as a professor</li>
</ul>
<p>Location and Other Expectations:</p>

<p>Compensation and Benefits:</p>

<p><strong>About the Role</strong></p>
<p>We are seeking a CapEx Accounting Senior Manager with deep experience in fixed asset lifecycle management, capital expenditure accounting, and relevant GAAP compliance. This is a role that is critical to building out the foundational policies and processes related to hardware products as we work to bring frontier AI into the physical world.</p>
<p>You will partner closely with Hardware Product and Engineering teams, Operations, Facilities and other Finance teams to own the accounting and reporting process for our capital investments in R&amp;D equipment and infrastructure, and manufacturing tooling and equipment.</p>
<p>This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of 3 days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.</p>
<p><strong>In this role, you will:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and execute accounting policy and procedures for capital expenditures, including initial recognition, capitalization vs. expense analysis, tagging, and depreciation/impairment.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Maintain comprehensive fixed asset registers for R&amp;D equipment, pre-production tooling, lab infrastructure, manufacturing equipment, etc.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Partner with Procurement and Operations to support fixed asset tracking processes and reconciliations.</li>
</ul>
<ul>
<li>Lead monthly close, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.</li>
</ul>

<li>Design and maintain strong internal controls around capex projects, asset tagging, periodic physical inventory, and financial reporting.</li>

<li>Ensure compliance with GAAP (or IFRS as applicable) for capitalization policies, useful life assumptions, and disclosures.</li>
