In this position, you will help build the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from Ford Motor Company. As a Process Engineer, Machining, you will be part of our Manufacturing team, working to develop new technologies and processes to further increase our efficiency.
\nYour primary responsibilities will include delivering Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for a Powertrain Subsystem, collaborating with Product Development team to generate facility & tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements, and using virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high volume manufacturing operations.
\nYou will also be responsible for writing/ modifying/maintaining process sheets and delivering updated Cycle Line Layouts, leading identification, resolution, and closure Machining feasibility issues, creating and following a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools in your subsystem, and leading machining installation, start-up, and commissioning at the manufacturing site.
\nAdditionally, you will lead identification, resolution, and closure of all launch product and tooling issues, develop "Lessons Learned" from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs, support Department Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation (SQDCPMEI) initiatives, and interface with cross-functional activities (Product Development, Supplier Technical Assistance, Material Planning & Logistics, New Model Programs).
