<p>A Ford Cost Estimator is a technical manufacturing specialist responsible for predicting and analyzing the total cost of vehicle components, systems, and manufacturing processes. Ford utilizes &#39;bottom-up&#39; technical cost modeling to evaluate material, labor, and overhead expenses, ensuring that new vehicle programs meet profitability targets while maintaining Ford’s quality standards.</p>
<p>Responsibilities: Must be process oriented with strong analytical skills and a high degree of business acumen with a strong ability to learn operational and strategic business issues. The Cost Engineer/Cost Analyst for this position must have experience in more than one of the following: BIW Stamping and sheet metal products Assembly integration and optimization All forms of metal casting: Ferrous, AL, Mg Extrusions Machining Roll forming Plating and coatings Metallurgist Experience using Estimating Software to develop should cost estimates such as FACTON, ARRORI, SIEMANS. Ability to construct and analyze manufacturing costs of components by reviewing drawings, engineering specifications, and functional requirements. Demonstrate a proven grasp of business concepts as well as quantitative and critical thinking skills. Ability to assess cost benefit analysis of different supplier manufacturing methods. Ability to maintain data integrity and accuracy and use data to identify and solve problems.</p>
<p>Qualifications: Bachelor&#39;s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical achievements; or a combination of equivalent education and experience. 10+ years of business and/or engineering, or an undergraduate degree in Technical Schools with 5+ years of Automotive manufacturing experience Proficiency in lean manufacturing Proficiency in data analysis</p>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>The Cost Estimator role at Ford involves developing piece cost and tooling estimates for assigned commodities, supporting cost target setting, and delivering accurate estimates including detailed cost gap analysis. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures, &#39;Should Cost&#39; methodologies, and be able to interpret engineering drawings/specifications.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>

<li>Deliver accurate estimates including detailed cost gap analysis</li>
<li>Support vehicle teardowns, benchmark standard methodologies, and identify material cost reduction opportunities</li>
<li>Actively support strategic commodity initiatives with relevant cost analyses</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree in Engineering with 3+ years of business/finance experience/manufacturing experience</li>
<li>3+ years in automotive component manufacturing processes</li>
<li>Advanced English proficiency (oral and written) is mandatory for global stakeholder interaction</li>
<li>Ability to work onsite 4+ days per week at Ford facilities</li>
<li>Willingness to travel occasionally to both Ford and Supplier facilities (domestic and international)</li>
</ul>
<p>Even better, you may have:</p>
<ul>
<li>Commodity expertise in Plastic Injection Molding, Polyurethane Foam, Thermoforming, or Textiles (Headliner-related)</li>
<li>Hands-on experience with estimating tools such as FACTON, APRIORI, or SIEMENS</li>
<li>History of using data analytics or AI tools to modernize business workflows and driving Agile transformations</li>
<li>Knowledge of Value Stream Mapping, Takt time, and GPDS milestones</li>
