We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Bristol, UK. As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work with the Lead and Senior Electrical Design Engineers to support the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems and control solutions.
\nKey Responsibilities:\nContribute to the creation of design specifications by interpreting design requirements and producing technical documentation, including schematics, schedules, and calculations.\nProvide technical and functional input at all stages from concept through to in-service support.\nCreate and manage Bills of Materials for electrical hardware.\nBe present on-site for the integration and commissioning of electrical power and control systems.\nEnsure that engineering outputs meet quality and regulatory standards, including EN60204, ISO12100, EMC, EN13849, NFPA79, and UL508A.\nSupport cross-functional collaboration and continuous improvement activities.\nSupport field installations, maintenance, upgrades, and modifications for new and in-service systems in the UK and globally.
\nEssential Qualifications:\n2-3 years' experience in a relevant field of work.\nBSc, BEng, MSc, or MEng in Electrical Engineering or a related field of study.\nExperience with the specification of electrical control panels.\nExperience in using an electrical CAD software.\nExperience in using AutoCAD Electrical or Eplan (preferably).\nStrong organisational and communication skills.\nAbility to manage various tasks simultaneously.\nExperience working with supply chain and quality.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nHands-on experience to support fault finding and building activities when required.
