Job Summary

As an Applications Engineer on our QuantumATK team, you will provide high-quality scientific and technical support to customers using QuantumATK, a leading software platform for atomic-scale materials modeling and simulation. You will partner with internal stakeholders and customers in high-tech industries to understand use cases, troubleshoot issues, and drive successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality scientific and technical support to customers using QuantumATK
• Partner with internal stakeholders and customers in high-tech industries (semiconductors, automotive, energy, etc.) to understand use cases, troubleshoot issues, and drive successful outcomes
• Develop and maintain application examples, workflows, and best-practice guides
• Collaborate with R&D and product teams by bringing customer needs and feedback into roadmap and feature discussions
• Contribute to enablement activities such as webinars and training

Requirements

• Solid foundation in solid-state physics and/or chemistry: A degree in physics, chemistry, materials science, or a related field
• Strong background in atomic-scale materials modeling and simulation
• Practical Python skills for scripting, analysis, and workflow automation
• Proficiency communicating complex technical topics in English (written and verbal)

Nice to Have

• Experience working directly with industrial customers in a technical role (support, field, pre-sales, or similar)
• Track record of building reusable examples, tutorials, or scientific software workflows
