Next semester, the following internships will be available within the department:</p>\n<p><strong>Focus: Application</strong></p>\n<p>In this internship, you will support the application of high-performance combustion engines for race usage. You will work on engine map calibration, analyse measurement data, and assist in optimizing engine control parameters. You will gain insights into engine management systems and learn how thermodynamic and mechanical requirements are implemented in practice. The development and maintenance of application tools (Matlab, Python) complete the range of tasks.</p>\n<p>Typical tasks:</p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparation and execution of test bench experiments for map optimization</li>\n<li>Analysis of measurement data (e.g., pressure curves, temperatures, lambda values)</li>\n<li>Support in the calibration of ECUs</li>\n<li>Contribution to the documentation and evaluation of test results</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Focus: Mechanical Testing and Failure Analysis</strong></p>\n<p>In this internship, you will work on the mechanical design, testing, and failure analysis of engine and power train components. You will support the evaluation of component loads, materials, and manufacturing processes, as well as the investigation of damage cases.
