At Bayer, we're seeking an Emissions Testing Technician Intermediate to join our team. As an Emissions Testing Technician Intermediate, you will play a crucial role in setting up, configuring, installing, and maintaining laboratory equipment. You will follow instructions and checklists to operate equipment and mix chemical solutions for use in tests. Your responsibilities will include taking measures and performing routine biological or chemical analytical tests according to standard procedures. You will compile research data, operating records, and reports of test results, control stocks of materials and chemical agents, and perform safety program checks and preventive maintenance on laboratory instruments. Your work will support the emission and industrial hygiene testing teams on field projects for Crop Science sites, ensuring compliance with regulatory and HSE requirements.
\nYour tasks and responsibilities will include: Participating as a project team member for large complexity field testing projects; Assisting in project team planning, preparation, site coordination, close-out documentation, and equipment clean-up as part of the regulatory and customer deliverables per the Emissions Testing Group (ETG) checklists and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); Performing field tests in accordance with USEPA and other regulatory and laboratory methods and requirements; Maintaining, repairing, and calibrating testing equipment per procedures; Ensuring field testing projects are performed safely and in accordance with ETG and Bayer policies; Consulting with outside labs for methods and analysis, assisting customers on site sampling set up and preparation for field projects and teams; Traveling up to 75% is required.
\nWe seek an incumbent who possesses the following: High School Diploma or GED; 1+ years of experience in environmental, emissions, or engineering; Valid Driver's License; Good analytical and problem-solving skills; Collaborative team player capable of working well with people across all hierarchies internally and externally; Good organizational and presentation skills; Strong interpersonal skills, including communication, listening, verbal, and assertiveness; Results-driven with the ability to manage ambiguity.
