<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<p><strong>Test Strategy &amp; Execution</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop and own comprehensive test plans in accordance with the engineering design process (requirements → design → verification → validation → release).</li>
<li>Translate system and subsystem requirements into structured verification matrices and executable test procedures.</li>
<li>Lead electrical verification efforts at board, subsystem, and system levels.</li>
<li>Design and execute functional, environmental, regression, reliability, and stress testing.</li>
<li>Drive root cause analysis for electrical failures and implement corrective validation strategies.</li>
<li>Ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and results.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Automated Test Equipment (ATE) Development</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Design, build, and deploy automated test equipment for PCBAs, harnesses, power systems, and integrated assemblies.</li>
<li>Develop automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Python, LabVIEW, MATLAB, or similar.</li>
<li>Create scalable test architectures to support engineering validation, production test, and field diagnostics.</li>
<li>Specify instrumentation (oscilloscopes, DAQs, power supplies, loads, environmental chambers, etc.) and integrate into automated systems.</li>
<li>Improve test throughput, repeatability, and data quality through automation and fixture design.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Work closely with electrical, mechanical, firmware, systems, and manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are testable and validated early.</li>
<li>Participate in design reviews (DCR, PDR, CDR etc.) to advocate for testability and verification rigor.</li>
<li>Collaborate with technicians to develop repeatable procedures and provide training where needed.</li>
<li>Partner with manufacturing to transition engineering validation tests into production test processes.</li>
<li>Support field troubleshooting and validation activities as required.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Process &amp; Quality Leadership</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Establish best practices for test documentation, version control, data capture, and reporting.</li>
<li>Drive continuous improvement in verification methodologies and lab infrastructure.</li>
<li>Mentor junior engineers and technicians in structured test development and debugging techniques.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with relevant industry, safety, and regulatory standards.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s preferred).</li>
<li>7+ years of experience in electrical test engineering or hardware validation.</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the engineering design lifecycle and formal verification processes.</li>
<li>Hands-on experience developing automated test equipment and fixtures.</li>
<li>Proficiency with electrical lab instrumentation and measurement techniques.</li>
<li>Experience writing test automation software (Python, LabVIEW, C/C++, or similar).</li>
<li>Strong troubleshooting skills across analog, digital, power, and mixed-signal systems.</li>
<li>Experience working in cross-functional hardware development environments.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in robotics, autonomous systems, defense, maritime, or ruggedized platforms.</li>
<li>Familiarity with high-voltage power systems and battery integration.</li>
<li>Experience with EMI/EMC testing and environmental qualification.</li>
