software integration initiatives for our cutting-edge autonomous vessels.</p>\n<p>In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the electrical and software systems that enable autonomy, control, and communications meet reliability and integration requirements.</p>\n<p>You will lead efforts in electrical architecture design, software- and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) verification, and failure mode analysis for electronics and embedded systems.</p>\n<p>Working with electrical, software, and other engineers, you’ll identify reliability drivers, define test requirements, and execute end-to-end full lifecycle system performance verification across mission scenarios and environmental conditions.</p>\n<p>Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring the reliability and performance of our innovative maritime technology as we advance towards the future of autonomous vessels.</p>\n<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead electrical and software system integration efforts, and work cross-functionally to ensure aspects such as signal integrity, power management, communication protocols, and autonomy behavior meets design intent and system requirements (design criteria)</li>\n<li>Define and maintain system-level electrical and software interface requirements using Jama and internal tools, ensuring clarity across design teams</li>\n<li>Help develop and execute integration and validation test plans for electrical subsystems, software-in-the-loop (SIL), and hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) testing</li>\n<li>Define and execute electrical reliability tests (e.g., EMI/EMC, power cycling, thermal stress) to validate robustness and fault tolerance</li>\n<li>Support root cause investigations for electrical and software-related failures, coordinating corrective actions and preventive measures</li>\n<li>Lead technical reviews related to system interfaces, electrical integration, and software verification results, ensuring feedback is integrated into design updates</li>\n<li>Mentor other engineers in best practices for electrical and software reliability, including fault-tolerant design, redundancy, and diagnostic coverage</li>\n<li>Define top-down use cases, system architecture, and design reference missions for products alongside product architects and responsible engineers</li>\n<li>Define, document, and maintain system requirements (design criteria) using Jama and in-house developed tools/environments</li>\n<li>Work closely with engineering teams to ensure requirements are accurately interpreted and implemented</li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date technical documentation for system requirements, testing requirements, verification and validation</li>\n<li>Clearly articulate technical information to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring alignment of objectives across engineering, software, and mission operations</li>\n<li>Participate in systems engineering activities including concept development, system design, integration, and testing</li>\n<li>Develop, own, and execute subsystem- and system-level verification and validation (V&amp;V) plans to ensure designs meet functional, performance, autonomy, reliability, and safety requirements</li>\n<li>Define test objectives, configurations, procedures, and success criteria for subsystem and full-system integration tests</li>\n<li>Lead root cause analysis/failure investigation, and corrective action for issues found during R&amp;D and qualification testing alongside the development, quality, and test teams.</li>\n<li>Develop and maintain internal data analysis and visualization tools to streamline test reporting and decision-making</li>\n<li>Collaborate closely with mission operations, design engineers, and other stakeholders to collect, analyze, and interpret in-field or post-deployment data, feeding results back into design iterations</li>\n<li>Work with hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) engineers to architect verification &amp; test campaigns and execute subsystem- and system-level testing</li>\n<li>Help drive the development of internal tools, guides, calculators, or similar via Palantir Foundry, Confluence, Excel, or similar</li>\n<li>Support the engineering design cycle process as a subject matter expert to ensure teams adhere to our hardware design best practices, and analysis best practices</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>This job posting is intended for candidates at all levels, including Sr, Staff, etc., and generally requires at a minimum 2+ years of industry experience as a Design Engineer, Development Engineer, Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or similar</li>\n<li>Bachelor’s degree or greater in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, Systems, Software, Computer, Electrical Engineering, or similar</li>\n<li>Experience working on advanced hardware systems, autonomous systems, complex electronics systems, or similar</li>\n<li>Requirement decomposition experience for both hardware and software</li>\n<li>Coding and software development experience, such as in Python, Java, C++, or similar</li>\n<li>Experience with failure analysis, root cause analysis methodologies, corrective action management, and risk management</li>\n<li>Experience architecting and designing test campaigns (subsystem level to the vehicle/vessel/product level) as well as creating &amp; executing test plans</li>\n<li>Familiarity with industry processes, standards, and guides, such as MIL-STDs, ABS Rules, ABYC, COLREGs, ISO, NASA, IEC, IEEE, and similar</li>\n<li>Ability to travel as needed</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with requirements management tools such as Jama, DOORS, Innoslate, 3DX, Cameo, Flow, or similar</li>\n<li>Experience developing tools, guides, and engineering solutions in Palantir Foundry</li>\n<li>Hands on test engineering experience including data collection, analysis, and closing feedback loops to improve designs &amp;
