84a9ef2d-e48 Protocol Engineer Our mission is to bring web3 to a billion people by providing builders with the tools they need to build exceptional onchain products. We're looking for a Protocol Engineer to architect and build distributed protocols that augment our developer platform. This role involves designing and implementing secure, performant, and scalable protocols, as well as collaborating with engineering, product, and design teams on user-facing applications built around our smart contract protocols.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Architecture and design of distributed protocols with an emphasis on security, performance, and scalability
  • Writing, deploying, and testing smart contracts and maintaining them in production
  • Developing and owning best practices for protocol upgrades and versioning across different networks
  • Collaborating with engineering, product, and design on the user-facing applications built around our smart contract protocols
  • Mentoring other engineers in in-depth Solidity/EVM topics and best practices

We're looking for someone with 6+ years of relevant industry experience, 2+ years of smart contract development, and extreme proficiency with Solidity and the EVM. Experience designing distributed protocols, building and managing high traffic smart contracts, and working with startups is a plus.

Alchemy offers competitive compensation, including base salary as well as equity, comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, and unlimited flexible time off. The base salary range for this position is estimated to be between $135,000 - $350,000 annually.
