As a Senior Software Engineer on the Observability Insights team, you will lead the development of agentic interfaces and product experiences that sit atop CoreWeave's telemetry layer.

You'll design multi-tenant APIs, managed Grafana experiences, and MCP-based tool servers to help customers and internal teams interact with data in innovative ways.

Collaborating closely with PMs and engineering leadership, your work will shape the end-to-end observability experience and influence how people engage with cutting-edge AI infrastructure.

About the role

• 6+ years of experience in software or infrastructure engineering building production-grade backend systems and distributed APIs.

• Strong focus on developer-facing infrastructure, with a customer-obsessed approach to SDKs, CLIs, and APIs.

• Proficient in reliability engineering, including fault-tolerant design, SLOs, error budgets, and multi-tenant system resilience.

• Familiar with observability systems such as ClickHouse, Loki, VictoriaMetrics, Prometheus, and Grafana.

• Experienced in agentic applications or LLM-based features, including grounding, tool calling, and operational safety.

• Comfortable writing production code primarily in Go, with the ability to integrate Python components when needed.

• Collaborative experience in agile teams delivering end-to-end telemetry-to-insights pipelines.

Preferred

• Experience operating Kubernetes clusters at scale, especially for AI workloads.

• Hands-on experience with logging, tracing, and metrics platforms in production, with deep knowledge of cardinality, indexing, and query optimization.

• Experienced in running distributed systems or API services at cloud scale, including event streaming and data pipeline management.

• Familiarity with LLM frameworks, MCP, and agentic tooling (e.g., Langchain, AgentCore).

Responsibilities:

ICM Platform Implementation & Configuration

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of our ICM platform, including plan modeling, crediting rules, quota management, and payout calculations
• Translate compensation plan documents into system logic, ensuring accurate and auditable calculation outputs
• Design and maintain system workflows for plan changes, exceptions, and adjustments
• Develop and execute testing strategies to validate system accuracy before each compensation cycle
• Provide technical guidance during plan design discussions, advising on system capabilities and constraints

Data Integration & Architecture

• Build and maintain integrations between the ICM platform and source systems (CRM, ERP, HRIS, billing platforms)
• Ensure data integrity across the compensation data pipeline, from opportunity data through final payout
• Partner with Data Engineering and Revenue Operations to define data requirements and resolve data quality issues
• Document data flows, transformation logic, and system dependencies

System Administration & Optimization

• Serve as the primary system administrator for the ICM platform, managing user access, security, and system health
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate compensation processes, reducing manual intervention and cycle time
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot calculation errors or integration failures
• Evaluate and recommend new technologies, including Claude-powered solutions, to enhance system capabilities

Reporting & Analytics

• Build and maintain reporting infrastructure within the ICM platform to support compensation dashboards and attainment tracking
• Partner with Revenue Operations and Accounting to deliver accurate, timely compensation data for forecasting and accruals
• Enable self-service reporting for compensation administrators and business partners

You may be a good fit if you have:

• A passion for Anthropic's mission to build safe, transformative AI systems
• 5+ years of experience implementing or administering ICM platforms (e.g., Xactly, Varicent, Anaplan)
• Strong technical skills with experience in SQL, data integration tools, and system configuration
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into system logic and maintain accurate, auditable calculations
• Experience managing data pipelines and ensuring data quality across integrated systems
• Strong problem solving skills with a systematic approach to debugging and root cause analysis
• Excellent documentation practices and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Bachelor's degree in a technical or quantitative field preferred

Strong candidates may also have:

• Experience with full ICM platform implementation projects, including vendor selection and data migration
• Proficiency with APIs and integration platforms (e.g., Workato, Fivetran, custom ETL)
• Experience with Salesforce administration or development
• Familiarity with consumption-based compensation models
• Experience with Claude Code or other AI-assisted development tools
• Background in sales operations, revenue operations, or finance systems

The annual compensation range for this role is $190,000 - $270,000 USD.
