Staff / Senior Software Engineer, Compute Capacity

About the Role

Anthropic's Accelerator Capacity Engineering (ACE) team manages one of the largest and fastest-growing accelerator fleets in the industry. As an engineer on ACE, you will build the production systems that power this work: data pipelines that ingest and normalize telemetry from heterogeneous cloud environments, observability tooling that gives the org real-time visibility into fleet health, and performance instrumentation that measures how efficiently every major workload uses the hardware it’s running on.

What This Team Owns

The team’s work spans three functional areas: data infrastructure, fleet observability, and compute efficiency. Depending on your background and interests, you’ll focus primarily in one, but the boundaries are fluid and the problems overlap:

Data Infrastructure

Collecting, normalizing, and serving the fleet-wide data that powers everything else. This means building pipelines that ingest occupancy and utilization telemetry from Kubernetes clusters, normalizing billing and usage data across cloud providers, and maintaining the BigQuery layer that the rest of the org queries against.

Fleet Observability

Making the state of the accelerator fleet legible and actionable in real time. This means building cluster health tooling, capacity planning platforms, alerting on occupancy drops and allocation problems, and driving systemic improvements to scheduling and fragmentation.

Compute Efficiency

Measuring and improving how effectively every major workload uses the hardware it’s running on. This means instrumenting utilization metrics across training, inference, and eval systems, building benchmarking infrastructure, establishing per-config baselines, and collaborating directly with system-owning teams to close efficiency gaps.

What You’ll Do

Build and operate data pipelines that ingest accelerator occupancy, utilization, and cost data from multiple cloud providers into BigQuery.

Develop and maintain observability infrastructure , Prometheus recording rules, Grafana dashboards, and alerting systems , that surface actionable signals about fleet health, occupancy, and efficiency.

Instrument and analyze compute efficiency metrics across training, inference, and eval workloads.

Build internal tooling and platforms that enable capacity planning, workload attribution, and cluster debugging.

Operate Kubernetes-native systems at scale , deploying data collection agents, managing workload labeling infrastructure, and understanding how taints, reservations, and scheduling affect capacity.

Normalize and reconcile data across heterogeneous sources , including AWS, GCP, and Azure billing exports, vendor-specific telemetry formats, and internal systems with different schemas and billing arrangements.

You May Be a Good Fit If You Have

5+ years of software engineering experience with a strong track record building and operating production systems.

Kubernetes fluency at operational depth , you’ve operated production K8s at meaningful scale, not just written manifests.

Data pipeline engineering experience , designing, building, and owning the full lifecycle of production data pipelines.

Observability tooling experience , Prometheus, PromQL, and Grafana are in the critical path for this team.

Python and SQL at production quality.

Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) at the infrastructure level , compute, billing, usage APIs, cost management tooling.

Strong Candidates May Also Have

Multi-cloud data ingestion experience , especially working with AWS and GCP APIs, billing exports, or vendor-specific telemetry formats.

Accelerator infrastructure familiarity , GPU metrics (DCGM), TPU utilization, Trainium power and utilization metrics, or experience working with ML training/inference systems at the hardware level.

Performance engineering and benchmarking experience , building benchmark harnesses, establishing baselines, reasoning about compute efficiency (FLOPs utilization, memory bandwidth, interconnect throughput), and working with system teams to diagnose and improve performance.

Data-as-product thinking , experience building internal data products with self-service access, schema contracts, API serving, documentation,

What Makes Cloudflare Special?

We're not just a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company. We're a highly ambitious, large-scale technology company with a soul. Fundamental to our mission to help build a better Internet is protecting the free and open Internet.

Project Galileo: Since 2014, we've equipped more than 2,400 journalism and civil society organizations in 111 countries with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare's enterprise customers--at no cost.

Athenian Project: In 2017, we created the Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration. Since the project, we've provided services to more than 425 local government election websites in 33 states.

1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever built.

About this role

Product Manager – Private Markets Secondaries Data & Analytics

This role sits within Preqin, a part of BlackRock. Preqin plays a key role in how we are revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients globally, complementing our existing Aladdin technology platform to deliver investment solutions for the whole portfolio.

About the team

Preqin’s Limited Partners Product Group is a cross-functional team within Aladdin Product, responsible for creating innovative data, analytics and workflow products for our clients investing in Private Markets. We are seeking a Product Manager to join the team and work directly with a multi-disciplinary team using the latest technologies to build out secondaries data and analytics products geared towards helping our clients make better investment decisions.

Job overview

Secondaries is a rapidly growing part of private markets, but still very opaque and ripe for innovation. This role will focus on building new data, analytics and workflow products for the secondaries ecosystem, and helping our clients better understand market activity, benchmark transactions, and identify and value the assets being traded.

Responsibilities

Define the product vision and strategy for your area, working closely with senior stakeholders and your cross-functional team to identify how to deliver on our strategic goals.

Lead continuous discovery with secondaries advisors, investors, and internal teams—understanding workflows upstream and downstream of private markets data usage.

Translate complex, ambiguous problems into clear product requirements (PRDs, epics, user stories), prioritised roadmaps, and measurable outcomes.

Build data-first product capabilities across analytics, benchmarking, and automated workflows.

Identify and track the right metrics for your area and your customers and use those metrics to make our products better.

Work closely and collaboratively with engineers and designers – you’ll get everyone aligned around a problem, work together on how to solve it, and then execute effectively.

Build iteratively and share feedback with customers continuously as you build and evolve the product.

Develop yourself and the people around you – share what you’ve learned, and work with colleagues to find ways to do things better.

You are a good fit if:

You care about customers deeply – you’re obsessed with finding out what their problems are, and how we are going to solve them.

You’re a strong executor, with a track record of getting product to customers quickly and iteratively.

You’re evidence-based, using data, customer feedback and market insight to build industry-leading products.

You’re comfortable in ambiguity and enjoy zero-to-one work—turning unclear inputs into crisp plans and shipped outcomes.

You can partner effectively across engineering, design, data, commercial and senior stakeholders to drive alignment and delivery.

You take ownership and responsibility for problems, and if you see something wrong, you make it better.

Nice to have:

Familiarity with private markets (PE/VC/Real Assets) and/or secondaries.

Experience with data partnerships, data ingestion, entity resolution/identifiers, or analytics/benchmarking products.

Comfort working with data directly (e.g. Excel, SQL) and using analysis to guide prioritisation.

Our benefits

To help you stay energized, engaged and inspired, we offer a wide range of employee benefits including: retirement investment and tools designed to help you in building a sound financial future; access to education reimbursement; comprehensive resources to support your physical health and emotional well-being; family support programs; and Flexible Time Off (FTO) so you can relax, recharge and be there for the people you care about.

Threat Collections Engineer

About Anthropic

Anthropic's mission is to create reliable, interpretable, and steerable AI systems. We want AI to be safe and beneficial for our users and for society as a whole. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed researchers, engineers, policy experts, and business leaders working together to build beneficial AI systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a Threat Collections Engineer to join our Threat Intelligence team. In this role, you will build the infrastructure that powers our threat discovery capabilities—integrating external data sources, developing detection systems for automated lead generation, and creating internal tooling that scales our investigators' impact.

This is a foundational engineering role on a small, high-impact team. You will take projects from proof-of-concept to production, work closely with investigators to understand their needs, and help scale what may become a multi-person collections function.

Responsibilities:

Build automated detection systems that use disparate signals to identify abusive behaviour.

Take systems from idea to proof-of-concept to production-grade with appropriate monitoring, documentation, and maintenance processes

Develop and maintain YARA rule infrastructure, including tools for writing, validating, and testing rules against real data

Create integrations with external threat intelligence platforms (e.g. VirusTotal, Censys, Urlscan) via MCP servers to enable multi-source correlation during investigations

Build data pipelines that ingest intelligence from RSS feeds, CTI news sources, and partner sharing, using Claude to extract TTPs and generate targeted hunting queries

Develop behavioural analytics capabilities using DBT-based frameworks and create searchable audit logging infrastructure

Establish feedback loops with investigators to tune detection systems and reduce false positives

Scrape and normalise data from external sources to feed threat detection and enrichment workflows

You may be a good fit if you:

Have strong coding proficiency in Python and SQL for building detection logic, data pipelines, and automation

Have experience with data pipeline orchestration tools (Airflow, DBT, or similar)

Have familiarity with threat intelligence concepts including IOCs, YARA rules, and threat correlation techniques

Have experience integrating external APIs and building data ingestion systems

Can translate investigator needs and workflows into technical requirements

Are comfortable building v0 systems and iterating based on user feedback

Have strong communication skills for working closely with non-engineering stakeholders

Strong candidates may also have:

Experience with threat intelligence sharing frameworks (e.g. MISP, STIX/TAXII)

Background in cyber threat intelligence, security operations, or abuse detection

Experience building MCP servers or similar tool integrations for AI systems

Familiarity with web scraping and data extraction at scale

Experience with behavioural analytics or anomaly detection systems

Understanding of LLM capabilities and how to leverage them for automation

A Top Secret Clearance

Deadline to apply:

None. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Logistics

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification.** Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work. We think AI systems like the ones we're building have enormous social and ethical implications. We think this makes representation even more important, and we strive to include a range of diverse perspectives on our team.

Your safety matters to us.** To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings.

How we're different

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics as it does with computer science.
