<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with a cross-functional development team of product managers, engineers, designers, and more.</li>
<li>Learn from streamers, viewers, and businesses about the ways they use our services and their desires to accomplish more.</li>
<li>Think creatively about how to solve problems that will sustain streamers&#39; monetization journey on Twitch.</li>
<li>Contribute to the design community at Twitch by using and improving existing patterns and approaches.</li>
<li>Combine qualitative and quantitative information to develop hypotheses about customer motivations and use that to improve your designs.</li>
<li>Present your work to others by participating in design reviews and feedback sessions</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years of practical experience in UX design with an emphasis on content discovery and/or content engagement experiences.</li>
<li>Demonstrated interaction design and visual craft skills including experience with prototyping mobile experiences.</li>
<li>Demonstrated skills collaborating closely with other designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.</li>
<li>An aesthetic sense and the ability to make confident decisions.</li>
<li>Demonstrated empathy for the people using your software or products.</li>
<li>Expertise with Figma.</li>
<li>Experience in E-Commerce/Monetization.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Bonus Points</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working on consumer software products.</li>
<li>Experience with AI tooling.</li>
<li>Experience executing research plans by talking to real customers.</li>

      <Description><![CDATA[<p>As an Engineering Manager on the Community Discovery team, you will lead one of three engineering teams working collaboratively to build innovative discovery experiences on Twitch. You&#39;ll partner closely with an applied science team to integrate cutting-edge algorithms into production systems that directly impact millions of daily active users.</p>
<p>In this role, you&#39;ll oversee the development of software and services that power critical discovery features including recommendations, search, feed ranking, and notification relevance,helping creators connect with their audiences and viewers discover content they love.</p>
<p>You can work from Twitch&#39;s headquarters in San Francisco, CA; or from one of our hub locations in Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; Los Angeles, CA or New York City, NY.</p>
<p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Build the systems that provide the critical connection between viewers and creators within the Twitch ecosystem</li>
<li>Design and run consumer-scale services powering recommendations, ranking, and search results for tens of millions of users a day</li>
<li>Power and enable ML applications at scale</li>
<li>Partner with applied scientists and other engineering teams to design ML-powered systems that effectively solve customer problems</li>
<li>Drive the professional growth and career advancement of team members through structured development planning, mentorship, and strategic talent management</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years of experience as software engineering manager</li>
<li>5+ years of working in software engineering</li>
<li>Development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages such as: Golang, Python, C/C++, Java</li>
<li>Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scalability) of new and existing systems</li>
<li>Proven ability to identify user needs and deliver customer-centric product solutions</li>
<li>Experience developing and running large-scale consumer services</li>
</ul>
<p>Bonus Points:</p>
<ul>
<li>Familiarity in the AWS ecosystem of service</li>
<li>Experience utilizing Agile development methodologies</li>
<li>Experience building or partnering to build ML-driven products (highly desirable)</li>
<li>Experience working with logging and both offline and online data pipelines</li>
<li>Experience in hiring, mentoring/coaching and managing teams of software engineers</li>
