As a Manufacturing Test Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that we are testing our systems to stringent standards, ensuring that we are consistently shipping the highest quality products to our customers. This role will be based temporarily at Santa Ana, CA for a 3-month training period before transitioning to Ashville, OH.
\nYour primary responsibilities will include maintaining ownership of test activities in production, ensuring production test flow, and providing hands-on troubleshooting efforts to resolve complex electrical issues found during testing. You will also be responsible for maintaining test capabilities across the manufacturing value stream, improving and sustaining existing test systems, generating test work instructions, and developing a library of common failure modes with troubleshooting guides.
\nIn addition, you will determine the root cause of product failures, recommend corrective actions, and work with design, quality, and manufacturing engineering teams to support customer returns and failure analysis. You will also contribute feedback to early-stage test design, analyze test data, document results, and provide detailed reports to identify defects and areas for improvement.
\nTo be successful in this role, you will need to have a bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Computer, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and at least 5 years of relevant industry experience with emphasis on manufacturing test and product sustainment. You will also need to have familiarity with Linux, Ubuntu, LabVIEW, and NixOS, as well as experience with contract manufacturers in the testing of PCBA/electronic assemblies.
\nYou will be eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance, and you will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

\nRequired qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. At least 3 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably test design of electro-mechanical hardware in a manufacturing environment, is also required.
\nExperience developing full system test plans and knowing how to execute them on fast-paced product development timelines is essential. You should also have experience with programming/testing a wide range of sensors, actuators, and electrical components, as well as experience in hardware testing and automated test systems (LabVIEW, Test Stand, etc.).
\nProficiency in programming languages such as Python, Matlab, SHELL, or others is also required, as is experience with computer hardware communication protocols: USB, Ethernet, RS232, RS485, PCIe, HDMI, CAN, etc.
\nEligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance is also a requirement.
