Direct the consolidation assessment for every investee and structured arrangement, including VIE identification, primary-beneficiary analysis, and ongoing reconsideration events

Oversee the investment portfolio accounting model , determining and monitoring classification across consolidation, equity method, the measurement alternative, and fair value through earnings , and govern observable-price-change and impairment reviews

Manage third-party valuation specialists; review and challenge purchase price allocations, intangible asset valuations, contingent consideration fair values, and impairment analyses

Author and defend technical accounting memoranda for each transaction; serve as the primary point of contact with external auditors on M&A, investment, and consolidation matters

Build and lead the M&A and Investments Accounting team , define roles, hire, mentor, and set the operating cadence , while remaining a hands-on reviewer on the most judgmental areas

Design and implement the deal-accounting operating model: diligence checklists, Day-1 close playbooks, opening balance sheet procedures, measurement-period tracking, integration accounting workplans, and SOX-ready controls over non-routine transactions

Drive post-close integration accounting, including conforming accounting policies, system/ledger onboarding, working capital true-ups, earn-out remeasurement, and push-down considerations

Prepare and review transaction-related disclosures for quarterly and annual financial statements, including pro forma financial information and significance testing where applicable

Partner with Tax on deal structuring, inside/outside basis differences, and ASC 740 impacts of acquisitions and investments; partner with Treasury and Legal on equity, SAFE/convertible, and complex financing instruments embedded in deals

Present transaction accounting conclusions and financial statement impacts to the Controller, CFO, and Audit Committee in clear, decision-ready terms

Have personally led the technical accounting for multiple closed acquisitions and a portfolio of minority/strategic investments, including at least one transaction of meaningful scale or complexity

Possess deep command of US GAAP for business combinations, consolidation, equity method and other investments, fair value measurement, and related areas, with a track record of authoring positions that withstand auditor and regulator scrutiny

Are fluent in valuation concepts and can credibly direct and challenge third-party specialists on PPA, contingent consideration, and impairment models

Have built or materially scaled a deal-accounting or investments-accounting function, including hiring, playbook creation, and controls design

Operate with executive presence , able to influence Corporate Development, Legal, and the C-suite on structuring trade-offs, and to present to the Audit Committee

Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication, translating complex deal accounting into clear business implications for non-accountants

Excel at both strategic leadership and hands-on technical review, and move comfortably between the two in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

Enterprise Account Executive, Financial Services & Insurance

As an Enterprise Account Executive, Financial Services & Insurance based in Tokyo, you'll drive the adoption of safe, frontier AI technology across Japan's financial services and insurance organisations. You'll own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, working with senior leaders to help them modernise operations, strengthen risk management, and enhance customer experiences with Anthropic's AI solutions.

Responsibilities:

Own and exceed revenue targets by winning new major FSI accounts and expanding existing relationships across Japan's banks, insurers, asset managers, and fintech companies

Build and execute territory plans, identifying high-value opportunities across megabanks, regional banks, life and non-life insurers, and diversified financial groups

Lead consultative sales processes with senior executives — including CIOs, CDOs, Chief Risk Officers, and compliance leaders — positioning AI as a driver for digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and improved customer experience

Orchestrate internal teams (Product, Engineering, Applied AI, Partnerships) to deliver solutions that meet the stringent regulatory, security, and data governance requirements of the FSI sector

You may be a good fit if you have:

8+ years of enterprise sales experience in Japan with significant exposure to financial services and insurance accounts, driving adoption of emerging technologies with a consultative, solutions-oriented approach

A track record of managing complex, long-cycle sales processes and securing strategic deals with FSI organisations by understanding sector-specific regulatory and compliance frameworks and crafting compliant solutions

Demonstrated ability to navigate FSI stakeholder ecosystems, building consensus across IT, risk, compliance, and business operations teams with multiple budget authorities and approval layers

Proven experience exceeding revenue targets by effectively managing pipeline across the varying budget cycles and fiscal timelines of large financial institutions

A knack for bringing order to chaos and an enthusiastic 'roll up your sleeves' mentality — you are a true team player who thrives in ambiguous, startup-like environments

A strategic, analytical approach to identifying opportunities within Japan's FSI sector combined with patient, relationship-focused execution

A passion for and/or experience with advanced AI systems. You feel strongly about ensuring frontier AI systems are developed safely and responsibly for broad benefit

Excellent communication skills in both Japanese and English

What We Offer:

Competitive base salary and commission structure commensurate with experience

Equity participation

Comprehensive benefits package

Hybrid work model with flexibility

Access to cutting-edge AI technology and world-class research team

Logistics:

Education requirements: We require at least a Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.

Visa sponsorship: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this.

We encourage you to apply even if you do not believe you meet every single qualification. Not all strong candidates will meet every single qualification as listed. Research shows that people who identify as being from underrepresented groups are more prone to experiencing imposter syndrome and doubting the strength of their candidacy, so we urge you not to exclude yourself prematurely and to submit an application if you're interested in this work.

Your safety matters to us. To protect yourself from potential scams, remember that Anthropic recruiters only contact you from @anthropic.com email addresses. In some cases, we may partner with vetted recruiting agencies who will identify themselves as working on behalf of Anthropic. Be cautious of emails from other domains. Legitimate Anthropic recruiters will never ask for money, fees, or banking information before your first day. If you're ever unsure about a communication, don't click any links—visit anthropic.com/careers directly for confirmed position openings.

How we're different:

We believe that the highest-impact AI research will be big science. At Anthropic we work as a single cohesive team on just a few large-scale research efforts. And we value impact — advancing our long-term goals of steerable, trustworthy AI — rather than work on smaller and more specific puzzles. We view AI research as an empirical science, which has as much in common with physics and biology as with traditional efforts in computer science. We're an extremely collaborative group, and we host frequent research discussions to ensure that we are pursuing the highest-impact work at any given time. As such, we greatly value communication skills.

The easiest way to understand our research directions is to read our recent research. This research co

OpenAI Finance helps ensure the organization is set up for success in pursuit of its mission of ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.

Within Finance, the Revenue Assurance and Strategy team partners with Product, Growth, Legal, Deal Desk, GTM, and Revenue Accounting to support scalable, audit-ready monetization. We focus on:

Revenue Assurance: ensuring revenue recognition conclusions are technically sound, consistently operationalized, and supported by documentation, controls, and system readiness

About the Role

We’re looking for a Technical Revenue Leader to own product and monetization advisory, support revenue recognition across our professional services portfolio, and drive scalable frameworks for revenue accounting as OpenAI’s products and commercial motions evolve.

Mentor and guide the technical revenue team, elevating the team’s ability to proactively influence product and contract decisions.

Job Description

OpenAI’s charter calls on us to ensure the benefits of AI are distributed broadly and safely. Our Health AI team focuses on expanding access to high-quality medical expertise and aims to set a high standard for deploying AI responsibly in high-stakes domains.

Improving health will be one of the defining impacts of AGI. Today, millions of people lack access to reliable medical information, and clinicians around the world face increasing time and resource constraints. We are building AI systems that support patients, clinicians, and health workers, while meeting the highest standards for safety, reliability, and privacy.

We are seeking full stack software engineers to help build and scale products used by consumers and care providers globally. You will work closely with product, design, and research teams to ship real systems in a fast-moving, high-impact environment.

Responsibilities

Design and build scalable fullstack systems for consumer and enterprise health.

Own end-to-end feature development—from early design and implementation through deployment, monitoring, and iteration.

Build and maintain data pipelines and services that meet strict privacy, security, and compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA).

Collaborate closely with researchers and safety teams to integrate reliability, evaluation, and guardrails into production systems.

Debug, optimize, and harden systems to support high availability, performance, and global scale.

Take ownership of ambiguous problems and drive them to practical, high-quality solutions.

Requirements

Are deeply motivated by improving health outcomes and expanding access to medical expertise.

Are a strong engineer who enjoys building durable, well-designed systems.

Have 5+ years of experience writing maintainable, production-quality code.

Can operate with high agency—owning problems end-to-end with minimal supervision.

Enjoy working in fast-moving, cross-functional teams with engineers, product managers, designers, and researchers.

Are comfortable doing unglamorous but essential work when it is needed for the mission (e.g., compliance, data plumbing, reliability).

Stay goal-oriented rather than tool-oriented, choosing what works over what is fashionable.

Are thoughtful about the societal impact of AI and aligned with OpenAI’s mission to ensure AGI benefits all of humanity.

Bonus if you have

Strong product engineering instincts—able to take a rough spec and ship a polished solution.

Entrepreneurial drive or previous experience as a founder.

Prior experience with health-related products.

High-quality public code (e.g., GitHub projects, open-source contributions).

Experience building compliant or regulated products (healthcare, enterprise, finance, or similar).

Experience with distributed systems, backend architecture, or large-scale data pipelines.

About OpenAI

OpenAI is an AI research and deployment company dedicated to ensuring that general-purpose artificial intelligence benefits all of humanity. We push the boundaries of the capabilities of AI systems and seek to safely deploy them to the world through our products. AI is an extremely powerful tool that must be created with safety and human needs at its core, and to achieve our mission, we must encompass and value the many different perspectives, voices, and experiences that form the full spectrum of humanity.

About the Team

With Codex we’re building an AI software engineer. One that you can pair with, delegate to, or even ask to take on future tasks proactively. Our team is a fast-moving group within OpenAI, bringing together research, engineering, design, and product. We iteratively build the Codex agent harness and product to get the most out of the model, and we iteratively train the model to be great at complex software engineering tasks.

About the Role

Codex Cloud owns cloud-based agentic experiences like code review and cloud tasks (with many more on the way), but also the underlying runtime/orchestration layer for cloud-based agentic tasks. That runtime is the execution and infrastructure layer that turns Codex from a code generator into a real AI software engineer operating at scale. It provides secure, sandboxed environments where Codex can run commands, read and write files, execute tests, and iteratively improve its work across real codebases — just like a human developer. More broadly, Codex Runtime is the distributed systems substrate that enables large numbers of supervised AI agents to run inside OpenAI’s and customers’ data centers, tackling increasingly complex goals over long time horizons. By giving agents a real working context and reliable execution environment, Codex Runtime makes it possible for Codex to validate its own changes, debug failures, and deliver production-ready results, defining how AI agents safely, reliably, and at scale interact with the world’s software.

In this role, you will:

Shape the evolution of Codex itself by identifying how teams actually use (and break) AI-powered software engineering, and driving changes across product, infrastructure, and model behavior to make Codex a truly reliable teammate for organizations.

Design customer-facing (across consumer and enterprise segments) software engineering experiences end-to-end to automate and empower engineers to safely build and deliver software to their customers.

Build the core team and enterprise primitives that make Codex usable at scale including container orchestration, virtual machine provisioning/configuration, execution sandboxes, shared block storage, RBAC, admin and audit surfaces, usage, rate limits and pricing controls, managed configuration and constraints, and analytics that give teams and operators deep visibility into how Codex is being used.

Design and own secure, observable, full-stack systems that power Codex across web, IDEs, CLI, and CI/CD, integrating with enterprise identity and governance systems (SSO/SAML/OIDC, SCIM, policy enforcement) and building data-access patterns that are performant, compliant, and trustworthy.

Lead real-world deployments and launches by working directly with customers and GTM to roll Codex out across teams, using live usage and operational signals to rapidly iterate and turn messy, real-world feedback into scalable product and platform improvements.

You might thrive in this role if you:

Have strong software engineering fundamentals and experience turning ideas into production-grade large-scale distributed systems, thinking holistically about balancing speed, performance, costs, and user experience.
