      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We are seeking a highly qualified Associate Counsel to join our Commercial &amp; Technology Legal Team with a focus on intellectual property and open source. As an Associate Counsel, you will provide day-to-day legal support on intellectual property and open source matters that shape how Airbnb builds, uses, and shares technology.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include providing practical legal advice on a wide range of IP matters for data science, engineering, and business teams, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating IP-related terms in commercial and intercompany agreements, and supporting the open source program by providing legal review and pragmatic guidance on licensing, compliance, and contribution practices.</p>
<p>You will also partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve open source policies and workflows, advise on open source governance topics such as usage and contributing, owning and releasing, and permissions and access, and review and advise on external-facing Tech Brand materials.</p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will need to have a J.D. degree and active membership in good standing in one or more U.S. jurisdictions, at least three years of relevant legal experience, and working knowledge of intellectual property law, including copyright, trademark, and patent fundamentals.</p>
<p>You will also need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex legal issues into clear guidance for non-lawyers at all levels, and proven ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and drive issues to resolution with high ownership.</p>

<p>Security GRC Engineers design, implement, and scale our governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) program. You will lead automation of compliance workflows, build self-serve tools to enable GTM teams, and ensure our products and infrastructure meet the highest security standards. This role combines technical implementation with strategic program development, directly shaping how we build trust with customers.</p>
<p><strong>You may be a fit if</strong></p>

<li>You have experience with GRC frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO/IEC 42001).</li>
<li>You have hands-on technical skills to automate compliance workflows and integrate with engineering systems.</li>

<li>Maintain corporate security policies and map them to relevant frameworks.</li>
<li>Draft security best practices and drive company-wide awareness and training programs.</li>
<li>Lead the development and maturity of GRC strategies aligned with SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO/IEC 42001, and related standards.</li>
<li>Partner with auditors, regulators, and business stakeholders to define and implement security requirements and controls.</li>
<li>Conduct security compliance reviews for new products, features, and vendors.</li>
