As an Automation Process Engineer, you&#39;ll play a crucial role in building the world-class, state-of-the-art smart vehicles the world expects from us. <p>Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Design and develop novel automation processes for Ford&#39;s next generation products in a fast-paced innovative environment.</li>
<li>Work with a diverse and highly capable team that engages with multiple key organizations at Ford to deliver new automation enablers.</li>
<li>Design and develop manufacturing process flows and optimization strategies for adoption of latest trends and technologies to achieve efficiency improvements.</li>
<li>Design and develop CAD models using software such as Inventor, CATIA, or similar, to support manufacturing and automation projects.</li>
<li>Design and develop custom robot tooling designs.</li>
<li>Lead rapid prototyping efforts to swiftly bring concepts to tangible models for further development or testing.</li>
<li>Program and troubleshoot collaborative robots and industrial robots, incorporating robot simulation, tool design, and robot path planning.</li>
<li>Design, implement, and optimize automation cells to enhance manufacturing operations.</li>
<li>Facilitate design review sessions and lead PFMEA activities to identify and mitigate risks in the manufacturing process.</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrations for team reviews, MTD project review meetings, and executive reviews.</li>
</ul>
<p>Qualifications:</p>
<ul>
<li>Master&#39;s degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Robotics or a related field.</li>
<li>2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.</li>
<li>2 years of experience with each of the following skills:</li>
<li>Working in a manufacturing environment in an automation engineering role.</li>
<li>Developing automation systems, including developing CAD designs, programming industrial robots, programming collaborative robots, completing workstation commissioning, and tooling design.</li>
<li>Programming Fanuc industrial robots and Universal Robots.</li>
<li>Developing robot simulation using RoboGuide.</li>
<li>1 year of experience with each of the following skills:</li>
<li>Integrating and launching 3D computer vision systems for robot guidance and inspection purposes.</li>
<li>Designing hardware in CAD software with Inventor or Solidworks.</li>
</ul>
<p>We are offering a salary of $92,622.00 - $162,120.00/yr.</p>
