<p>We are hiring a Lead Technical Product Manager to define and drive the strategy for critical game development products and platforms at EA.</p>
<p>This exciting role offers a talented and experienced technical product manager the opportunity to drive innovations that improve the ability for EA’s developers to make great games and products.</p>
<p>You will have the chance to work with game teams across the entire organization, including FC, Madden, Battlefield and Battlefront, and central teams such as Frostbite and Origin.</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Own long-term strategy, roadmap direction, and execution across complex, highly technical initiatives.</li>
<li>Understand architecture deeply, challenge engineering decisions constructively, and ensure infrastructure investments translate into measurable improvements in reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.</li>
<li>Review architecture proposals, challenge trade-offs, and work as a peer to senior engineers.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>7+ years of demonstrated previous product management experience.</li>
<li>A strong technical background, either via education or work experience (ideally both).</li>
<li>Ability to effectively speak with technical leaders around EA, as well as engineering team delivering features.</li>
<li>Proven ability to lead product roadmaps across multiple products/lines.</li>
<li>Ability to define a vision for the product(s) owned that aligns with team and organization goals.</li>
<li>Ability to create feature requirements documentation and translate them into user stories for the team to execute on.</li>
<li>Ability to assess feature complexity to ensure effective measures are in place to validate quality before deploying, and to be able to safely deploy at a small scale before deploying broadly.</li>
<li>Ability to align a product engineering and operations team around the product vision.</li>
<li>Data-driven approach</li>
<li>Build features that start with the data requirements.</li>
<li>Uses data to help prioritize roadmap.</li>
<li>Uses data to identify performance issues or bottlenecks.</li>
<li>Ability to create dashboards/charts to help self-serve answers to questions that can be obtained from the captured data.</li>
<li>Ability to use data in discussions with customers to demonstrate value of features, or areas for improvement.</li>
<li>Experience building features/capabilities within a platform/ecosystem.</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills, including presenting, document/email writing, presentation building.</li>
<li>Able to engage senior technical leads on workflow challenges and translate those discussions into clear product capabilities.</li>
<li>Communicate effectively across multiple disciplines (Engineers, Producers, Artists, Managers, etc)</li>
<li>Collaborate and build alignment across internal teams.</li>
<li>Experience building features that leverage cloud capabilities: self-healing, redundancy, auto-scaling.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working in a game development company - understands the complexity of game development and the direction of the industry to ensure that product roadmaps are aligned to industry trends.</li>
<li>Alternatively, experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment where they are used to working in smaller, cross-functional teams where they are used to providing high-level direction as well as detailed product and feature requirements.</li>
<li>Demonstrated experience delivering innovative features</li>
<li>Experience in identifying workflow bottlenecks and providing feature requirements that deliver workflow enhancements, particularly within the SDLC.</li>
<li>Financial experience, particularly managing budgets, creating financial plans/models to demonstrate benefits of new or existing features</li>
<li>Experience with AI/ML</li>
<li>Experience working in a LiveOps/DevOps model</li>
</ul>
<p>This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week working from our office in Madrid.</p>
