      <Description><![CDATA[<p>The Music Mission team at Spotify is responsible for building tools and services to enable creation, promotion, expression, and monetization at scale. As part of this team, we&#39;re looking for an experienced engineering leader to lead a team of engineers across backend, client, and data disciplines.</p>
<p>Key Responsibilities:</p>
<ul>
<li>Lead and grow a team of engineers across multiple squads</li>
<li>Set clear technical and organizational direction across a complex, full-stack product area</li>
<li>Partner closely with Product, Design, Insights, and Marketing to deliver impactful features for artists</li>
<li>Drive execution across multiple concurrent initiatives, ensuring strong coordination and delivery</li>
<li>Translate ambiguity into clear priorities, helping teams navigate competing demands and inbound requests</li>
<li>Oversee the development of scalable systems that process and surface large volumes of artist data</li>
<li>Support critical platform operations and contribute to incident response readiness through team leadership</li>
<li>Contribute to strategic initiatives including AI-driven experiences and artist-focused product innovation</li>
</ul>
<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>8+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in engineering leadership, including managing managers</li>
<li>Experience leading multiple teams or orgs simultaneously and operating across a broad, multi-disciplinary technical surface</li>
<li>Strong technical foundation and ability to engage in discussions across backend systems, client applications, and data platforms</li>
<li>Ability to navigate organizational complexity and drive alignment across senior cross-functional stakeholders</li>
<li>Experience building inclusive, high-performing teams and developing managers and senior engineers</li>
<li>Calm and structured in high-pressure situations, able to manage competing priorities and guide teams through critical decisions</li>
<li>Experience operating in environments with high data scale and understanding how to translate complex data into meaningful user experiences</li>
<li>Motivated by building products that serve creators, artists, or similar user communities</li>
</ul>
