We're looking for an Applications Software Developer to join our Electric Vehicles, Digital and Design (EVDD) team. As a key member of our agile team, you'll work collaboratively to deliver industry-leading customer experience for electric vehicle buyers and owners. Your primary responsibilities will include building and optimizing Android applications and services for in-vehicle infotainment platforms, developing voice-driven features, and integrating and optimizing embedded AI/SLM capabilities.
\nYou'll partner with product, UX, platform, systems, and AI teams to deliver intuitive voice experiences in production vehicles. You'll also debug complex issues across app, framework, audio, connectivity, and embedded environments, and help define technical direction, engineering standards, and scalable patterns for future capabilities.
\nTo succeed in this role, you'll need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and 5+ years' experience in Android development with Kotlin and modern Android frameworks. You'll also need 2+ years' experience understanding the Android audio subsystem, and proven experience with modern application development practices such as clean architecture, modularization, testing, observability, CI/CD, and performance optimization.
