<p>The ADAS Virtual Verification and Validation group develops and applies state-of-the-art tools and methods to validate ADAS features, including Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulators that are interactive high-fidelity systems that integrate a human driver with vehicle simulation models and systems in real-time immersive virtual environment. These simulators aid improvements in driver interactions and experience; helping to deliver ADAS features with quality and robustness to improve customer satisfaction.</p>
<p>Our engineers support the latest ADAS features such as Blue Cruise (BC), System Initiated Lane Change (SILC) and Lane Keeping Aid (LKA).</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead Driver-In-Loop (DiL) Simulator development and testing to support the development and sign-off of ADAS features</li>
<li>Contribute to development of simulation platform to support cross-tool SiL, DiL, HiL virtual validation methods</li>
<li>Develop new DiL solutions for feature development and validation, combining simulation with traditional vehicle testing methods on vehicle simulators</li>
<li>Closely coordinate with feature development engineers to support execution of design verification plans to ensure proper feature-level performance.</li>
<li>Conduct customer-level algorithm and calibration clinic studies to satisfy vehicle-level performance requirements</li>
<li>Create virtual roads and scenarios for robust testing of ADAS features (Regulatory, Functional, Performance, Real World).</li>
<li>Develop and integrate camera, radar, and ultrasonic sensor stimulation and simulation tools to support testing of new and existing ADAS features.</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally with technical specialists, product owners, developers, simulation, HIL, and vehicle test teams to establish tools and test procedures that improve efficiency of and enable new test cases for vehicle level testing.</li>
<li>Develop Python tools for data collection and analysis</li>
<li>Grow and demonstrate technical leadership amongst a team of highly energized and collaborative peers in a fast-paced environment.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field or a combination of education and equivalent experience</li>
<li>2-5 years of experience developing/testing features in related vehicle systems (vehicle dynamics, body, electrical, chassis, powertrain)</li>
<li>2-5 years of experience with at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., C, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.)</li>

      <Title>ADAS Feature Verification and Validation Engineer</Title>
      <Description><![CDATA[<p>In this position, you will develop and implement feature requirements and specifications for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, cross traffic alert, pro trailer features, advanced lighting, and 360 camera systems at a system and sub-system level. You will collaborate with research engineers, user experience teams, designers, hardware and software developers to define, develop, and verify the customer-facing attributes and performance capabilities of ADAS features.</p>
<p>Your responsibilities will include defining and documenting vehicle-level acceptance criteria for ADAS features, leading/supporting the development of verification plans and verification methods, collaborating with global functional partners to meet system and vehicle level performance requirements, and cascading system-level requirements to functional partners.</p>
<p>You will also lead/support the development and sign-off of ADAS features on vehicle programs, support feature calibration studies to satisfy vehicle-level performance requirements, develop MATLAB and CAN tools for data collection and analysis, identify opportunities to utilize HiL and CAE methods for feature calibration and performance verification, plan and execute real-world evaluations of ADAS features via vehicle/HIL/virtual testing and identify system problems and issues, and support and coordinate root-cause analysis with internal functions and external suppliers to ensure delivered system achieves feature requirements.</p>
<p>You will benchmark competitors and monitor public domain requirements.</p>
<p>You will have a Bachelor&#39;s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field, and experience in developing features in the Driver Assistance domain using radars, cameras, lidars, ultrasonic sensors and other related vehicle systems (body, electrical, chassis, powertrain).</p>
<p>Familiarity with actuators and control systems is also required.</p>
<p>A Master&#39;s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Software, Computer Science, AI, Systems Engineering, Product Development) or a related technical field is preferred, as well as experience applying Systems Engineering principles, experience with robotic verification and testing methods, troubleshooting experience with electromechanical systems, experience with differential GPS equipment, experience using typical automotive interfaces: CAN, CANFD, Autosar, Auto-Ethernet, etc., experience using Vector CANape, CANalyzer and dSPACE Controls Desk or similar tools, experience with Matlab/Simulink, experience in verification techniques (design verification methods, vehicle data acquisition/analysis), experience with virtual validation methods (HIL/MIL/SIL), strong leadership skills, passion for quality, passion to improve customer satisfaction, good communications and project management skills, strong oral &amp; written skills, ability to work both independently and take initiative when necessary, and strong teamwork &amp; interpersonal skills.</p>
