      <Description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Job Purpose:</strong> Contribute to the development of functioning prototypes that will eventually become production ATV/SxS vehicles, researching and applying new technologies to support business targets and maintaining global vehicle product quality.</p>
<p><strong>Key Accountabilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Develop complex component and system layouts for ATV/SxS prototype vehicles using computer-aided design software that achieve concept targets, function requirements, and manufacturing requisites without supervision.</li>
<li>Establish or lead others to establish cost targets for responsible parts that contribute to achievement of the vehicle development targets and achieve the cost targets through optimizing difficult part/system designs and offsetting any spec changes after target fix through implementation of additional cost reduction ideas and strategies.</li>
<li>Create and manage schedule of individual work or other&#39;s work to ensure deadlines are met, coordinate resource needs with supervisor, and effectively utilize contractor resources or groups of associates without supervision.</li>
<li>Set goals for generating advanced ideas and lead the creation of comprehensive strategies that support the evolution of new technologies.</li>
<li>Support or lead market quality themes without supervision. Utilize problem-solving methods to analyze root causes. Develop and implement C/M specs as necessary without supervision. Lead recurrence prevention when appropriate.</li>
<li>Mentor others in areas of basic engineering principles, philosophy, best working practices, and company policy through example and other means necessary to penetrate the organization to reach appropriate technical levels.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications, Experience, and Skill:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Bachelor&#39;s degree or equivalent in related field</li>
<li>10+ years of engineering experience, preferably in Powersports or Automotive field</li>
<li>Highly proficient in understanding and application of company philosophy, policies</li>
<li>Highly proficient in written and oral communication</li>
<li>Highly proficient in problem-solving methods</li>
<li>Highly proficient in creating a plan and schedule</li>
<li>Highly proficient understanding of development project cycles</li>
<li>Highly proficient analytical, problem-solving, judgment, decision-making, and prioritization</li>
<li>Highly proficient time management skills</li>
<li>Must be able to possess a high level of confidentiality</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Working Conditions:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Travel: Average of 1-3 times monthly. Amount varies based on project demands/responsibilities, conferences, etc.</li>
<li>Physical: Primarily works at a desk or scope; frequent keyboarding. Limited kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching or bending.</li>
<li>Hazards: Risks found in a typical office &amp; shop setting. May be exposed to explosives/flammables, pressurized equipment, toxic chemicals, and moving parts.</li>
<li>Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.</li>
