In this role, you will work closely with avionics, systems, manufacturing, and flight test teams to support the development and test of air vehicle designs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating support documentation, including block diagrams, ICDs, and wiring interconnect diagrams throughout all phases of product development.
  • Building up and testing avionics system components through lab, ground, and flight tests.
  • Managing concurrent involvement in multiple projects at various stages.
  • Participating in design reviews and providing input to identify issues and drive design choices.
  • Conducting root cause analysis in support of vehicle integration and field operations.

Required qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proficient in designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications.
  • Familiarity with common electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, MIL-STD-1553).
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an active US Secret security clearance.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 4+ years experience designing and integrating electrical systems into high-speed air vehicles or missiles.
  • Experienced and familiar with aircraft avionics module vendors and avionics component suppliers in UAS programs.
  • Experience with Siemens Capital software for 2D modeling and drafting.
