Playground Games is looking for an Experienced UI Artist to join our talented Fable team here in Leamington Spa on a contract basis.

About us:

As a first-party Xbox Game Studio, we are making games that are accessible, beautiful, and fun. We are rebooting the Fable franchise and expanding our team to create a new classic in the action RPG genre.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As an Experienced UI Artist, you will be integral in implementing visually compelling and intuitive interface designs using our ForzaTech Engine and tools. You will work closely with a cross-disciplinary team to ensure the successful implementation and high-quality polish of our user experience that aligns with our existing designs and art style.

You'll ideally have experience with hands on implementation of UI in a game engine, strong artistic abilities, a firm grasp of UI/UX principles, and a knack for managing deadlines. A desire to learn and dive into new processes and tools is a must for this role.

This is a contract role based at our state-of-the-art facilities in Royal Leamington Spa. We have a hybrid work model in place with a minimum of 3 days a week in studio. Relocation assistance is available if required.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Design and implement top-tier UI assets, following our established art style while also ensuring smooth integration into the game through hands-on implementation.

• Collaborate effectively with team members across various departments, delivering tasks, resolving bugs on time and maintaining high-quality standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Relevant experience in game UI development demonstrated by an online portfolio.

• Experience with implementation of UI in a game engine(s).

• Artistic and graphic design abilities along with UI/UX design proficiency.

• Knowledge of industry-standard software like Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and Xd.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

• Ability to organize tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively resolve work-related issues.

• A passion for learning and evolving as a professional.

DESIRABLE (not required):

• Experience working with and implementing UI using a proprietary engine.

• Experience working on console games or RPG games.
