We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Sr. Associate Director, Software Engineering Specialist. This role will lead the technical direction for enterprise AI initiatives across internal platforms and tools.

Principal responsibilities:

• Lead the technical direction for enterprise AI initiatives across internal platforms and tools.
• Identify and prioritise high-value AI use cases aligned with engineering and business goals.
• Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI applications using LLMs, RAG, agent-based workflows, and related patterns.
• Partner closely with engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities into existing systems and delivery pipelines.
• Define architecture and best practices for AI services, model orchestration, evaluation, observability, and lifecycle management.
• Establish practical governance for AI security, privacy, compliance, and responsible use in a regulated environment.
• Create technical standards, reusable frameworks, and implementation guidance for broader engineering adoption.
• Evaluate tools, vendors, and platforms, and make pragmatic build-vs-buy recommendations.
• Communicate clearly with technical stakeholders on trade-offs, risks, progress, and expected impact.

Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning, AI, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Python in production environments.
• Proven experience delivering LLM / GenAI solutions in enterprise settings.
• Practical experience with RAG systems, agent workflows, prompt design, model evaluation, and production integration.
• Familiarity with AI platform operations, including deployment, monitoring, logging, security, and reliability.
• Experience working across multiple engineering teams and influencing architecture and execution without direct authority.
• Strong understanding of enterprise-grade controls, especially around data protection, governance, and risk management.
• Ability to balance innovation with delivery discipline in a regulated or security-conscious environment.

What additional skills will be good to have?

• Experience in banking, financial services, FinTech, or other regulated industries.
• Experience building internal AI assistants, developer productivity tools, knowledge copilots, or workflow automation solutions.
• Familiarity with vector databases, orchestration frameworks, model gateways, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Experience defining AI engineering standards, evaluation frameworks, and governance processes.
