<p>Your responsibilities will include:</p>
<p>Performing monthly close activities for North America, including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and review and analysis of relevant aspects of the balance sheet, cash flow and P&amp;L. Helping prepare global close schedules intended for senior management and wider finance teams. Providing technical accounting guidance and general ledger business support to our partners, including Marketing, Studios, Operations, Corporate, and Finance teams. Developing and maintaining External Audit and SOX documentation related to your role. Identifying process improvements and helping with global standardization. Preparing memos on accounting issues as required. Reviewing business contracts for accounting interpretation and guidance. Working on projects aimed at enhancing our reporting environment, globally aligning our accounting practices, and improving documentation.</p>
<p>To succeed in this role, you will need:</p>
<p>A Bachelor&#39;s Degree in Accounting or equivalent, CPA (or equivalent) preferred. 3 years of relevant financial accounting experience.</p>

      <Title>Technical Accounting, Manager I</Title>
      <Description><![CDATA[<p>We&#39;re looking for a strategic, collaborative, and technically strong Revenue Technical Accounting Manager to ensure ASC 606 compliance and lead our revenue processes in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.</p>
<p>As Pinterest&#39;s go-to ASC 606 expert, you will serve as the primary point of contact for our various products, including multi-element arrangements, contract modifications, variable consideration, and usage-based commitments. You will own and evolve our revenue playbook by authoring, updating, and maintaining revenue recognition policies, playbooks, and accounting memos that support Pinterest&#39;s diverse contract structures.</p>
<p>You will partner cross-functionally to review complex and non-standard contracts, providing structuring guidance that balances commercial goals with optimal revenue outcomes. You will work closely with Finance, Legal, Sales, Sales Operations, Business System, Engineering, and key business owners to design scalable revenue accounting processes with a strong focus on automation and continuous improvement.</p>
<p>Key responsibilities include determining revenue recognition approaches for new products and offerings, translating complex technical accounting concepts into practical guidance for non-accounting stakeholders, supporting a timely and accurate quarter-end close, and contributing to special projects and system enhancements.</p>
<p>To be successful in this role, you will need deep technical expertise in ASC 606 and related accounting guidance, impeccable verbal and written communication skills, and strong collaboration skills. You will also need to be able to distill complex accounting concepts for a variety of audiences, including senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.</p>
<p>This role requires a Bachelor&#39;s degree with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years of substantial work in technical revenue accounting / ASC 606. A CPA or equivalent, Big 4, or audit background is strongly preferred, with a mix of tech industry experience and accounting advisory expertise for complex revenue environments.</p>
<p>In addition to the core responsibilities, this role will also involve using AI to accelerate technical research and memo drafting, exploring the use of AI tools, crafting smart prompts, and evaluating AI outputs.</p>
