We are seeking an Industrial Engineer to design and validate the physical manufacturing system of our shipyard. This role is responsible for developing building layouts, process flow paths, square footage requirements, and capacity models across all major shipyard functions.
\nKey responsibilities include:\nDeveloping end-to-end shipyard layouts based on throughput, product mix, and block construction strategy\nDefining building footprints, clear heights, bay sizing, and crane coverage\nEstablishing square footage requirements for panel fabrication, sub-assembly, block assembly, and pre-outfitting\nDeveloping capacity and throughput models\nEnsuring layouts support automation-first processes\nCollaborating cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and finance
\nRequired qualifications include:\nBachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or similar\n5+ years of experience in industrial facility layout or manufacturing system design\nStrong understanding of material flow optimization and bottleneck analysis
\nPreferred experience includes:\nHeavy manufacturing experience\nGreenfield facility design exposure\nExperience in 3D Facility modeling\nFamiliarity with automation-enabled production systems\nExperience working closely with both design teams and shop-floor operations
