Proven ability to build clear reports and dashboards in tools such as Excel/Google Sheets, Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.

Experience running pipeline reviews or forecast calls, or supporting leaders who do.

A consultative approach: you can listen to a sales leader, ask the right questions, and turn their needs into a practical solution.

Staff Security Operations Engineer

We're looking for a Staff Security Operations Engineer to join our Cybersecurity team at Pleo. In this role, you'll define and deliver the SecOps roadmap, building the detection, response, and investigation capability that protects a fast-growing fintech.

As a Staff Security Operations Engineer, you will:

Build and own a structured SecOps roadmap grounded in well-known frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, and CIS benchmarks.

Lead security investigations and digital forensics, from suspicious traffic through to full incident response, and bring the findings back into how we detect and prevent.

Design, tune, and scale our SIEM and logging pipeline through standardized log ingestion across services so signal isn't lost in the noise.

Strengthen our perimeter and authentication posture, including WAF configuration, authorisation tuning, and monitoring for suspicious traffic.

Protect sensitive data through DLP controls, and make sure the coverage matches where the data actually lives.

Improve our on-call rotation for the team, defining the alerting, escalation paths, and response SLAs that make it work.

Automate detection and response workflows, using code and AI to reduce manual toil and shorten time to resolution.

Reduce SecOps-attributed risk identified through compliance gaps, and collect the evidence that demonstrates it.

Build dashboards and reporting that give the team and leadership real visibility into response times, coverage, and risk reduction.

Work cross-functionally with engineers who don't have a security background, translating threat models into changes they can actually ship.

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

10+ years of experience in security operations, incident response, or a closely related discipline, with a proven track record of materialised risk reduction through monetary impact, incidents contained, forensics that changed outcomes.

A strong development and engineering background. You are comfortable writing the automation, not just specifying it.

Hands-on SOC and SIEM management experience, including detection engineering and log pipeline design.

Experience in scale-up environments, where you've built capability rather than inherited a mature one.

A strong understanding of cloud architectures as we use AWS. With part of our estate on GCP and how infrastructure decisions shape detection and response.

Demonstrated experience using AI and/or coding automation to get security controls built, implemented, and operating in practice.

Fintech, payments, fraud, or trust & safety experience is a real advantage, as is exposure to highly regulated environments.

In your first 6 months at Pleo, you'll:

Get deep into Pleo's security landscape and our detection coverage, our logging estate, our cloud footprint to form your own view of where the biggest risks sit.

Publish a SecOps roadmap mapped to MITRE, NIST, and CIS, agree with Engineering, Risk & Compliance, and leadership, and start delivering against it.

Stand up the on-call rotation and the alert response SLAs that go with it.

Ship your first wave of detection and automation improvements, and establish the KPIs that show what changed.

Fraud Analyst

We are looking for a Fraud Analyst to join Pleo's Decision Intelligence team and help strengthen how we detect, prevent, monitor, and respond to fraud risk across our financial crime decisioning setup.

This is not a traditional Fraud Operations case-handling role. You will work closer to the decisioning layer: helping translate fraud patterns into rules, monitoring rule performance, supporting rule testing, reviewing alert behaviour, and making sure fraud controls remain effective, explainable, and proportionate.

Responsibilities:

Supporting the end-to-end fraud rule lifecycle: from rule proposal and analysis through testing, deployment, monitoring, tuning, and rollback.

Working directly in, or closely with, decisioning tools and rule engines to support fraud detection logic.

Analysing fraud patterns, alert trends, false positives, false negatives, and rule performance.

Translating FraudOps insights and stakeholder requests into clear, structured rule proposals.

Helping assess whether new rules or threshold changes are justified by data.

Monitoring post-deployment rule performance and identifying when rules need adjustment.

Supporting daily operational requests related to fraud controls, while ensuring changes are traceable and well documented.

Partnering with FraudOps, AML, Product, Engineering, Data, Compliance, and Legal to make sure decisioning changes are aligned and risk-aware.

Maintaining clear documentation for fraud rules, rationale, expected impact, testing outcomes, and monitoring results.

Helping reduce single points of failure by building repeatable processes and stronger business continuity around fraud decisioning.

Requirements:

Experience as a Fraud Analyst, Risk Analyst, Fraud Strategy Analyst, Fraud Rules Analyst, Decisioning Analyst, or similar.

Hands-on experience with a decisioning tool, fraud rules engine, risk platform, or internal decisioning system.

Experience creating, testing, monitoring, or tuning fraud rules, thresholds, scenarios, or risk logic.

Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data to assess rule performance and fraud patterns.

Good understanding of fraud typologies, especially card fraud, transaction fraud, account misuse, or payment fraud.

Ability to balance fraud prevention with customer impact and operational workload.

Experience working with false positives and understanding that good fraud controls require continuous monitoring and tuning.

Strong written communication skills, with the ability to explain rule logic, rationale, risks, and expected outcomes clearly.

Comfort working cross-functionally with FraudOps, Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Data teams.

A structured mindset and appreciation for documentation, traceability, governance, and change control.

Fintech, banking, payments, spend management, or regulated financial services.

SQL or basic data analysis.

Benefits:

Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)

Lunch is on us for your work days - enjoy catered meals or receive a lunch allowance based on your local office

Comprehensive private healthcare - depending on your location, coverage options include Vitality, Alan or Médis

We offer 25 days of holiday + your public holidays

For our Team, we offer both hybrid and fully remote working options

We use MyndUp to give our employees access to free mental health and well-being support with great success so far

Paid parental leave - we want to make sure that we're supportive of families and help you feel that you don't have to compromise your family due to work

GTM Enablement Specialist

About Pleo

Messy spend management is tricky business. And tedious processes are a lose-lose situation for all involved, not just finance. At Pleo, we're changing that. We build spend solutions that make managing money seamless, empowering, and surprisingly effective for finance teams and employees alike - with a vision to help all businesses ‘go beyond’.

The word ‘Pleo’ actually means ‘more than you’d expect’, and living by that mantra has been the secret to our success over the last 10 years.

Now, we’re at a pivotal moment in our journey; every move we make has a direct impact on our 40,000+ customers, our business, and our collective success. We need people who take pride in uncovering customer needs, who turn complex problems into simple solutions, challenge the way things are done (respectfully), and always aim high. With great ambitions driving us forward, we can’t say we’ve got this whole thing figured out. And frankly, that’s half the fun! What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.

About the role

We're looking for an Enablement Specialist to join our GTM Enablement team at Pleo. In this role, you'll own the delivery and measurable impact of enablement programmes across Go-to-Market functions. You'll report to the Revenue Operations Director and work closely with our GTM Enablement Manager. If you're excited about making enablement sticks, driving adoption at scale, and working in a fast-moving, data-driven function, this is the opportunity for you.

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You'll report to our Director, GTM Enablement and work closely with our GTM Enablement Manager as well as teams in sales, Revenue Operations, Product Marketing and Product. Our GTM Enablement team is highly collaborative and dedicated to unlocking commercial performance across Pleo's go-to-market organisation.

What you’ll be doing

As a GTM Enablement Specialist you will:

Own enablement programme delivery end to end. Work with external suppliers and internal subject experts to design, implement, and manage enablement programmes tailored to GTM functions, from kickoff through launch and adoption. Manage timelines, dependencies, stakeholder alignment, and iterative feedback loops to ensure successful execution and behaviour change aligned to performance indicators.

Run the enablement intake and calendar. Manage a single intake process for enablement requests, so every request comes with a clear why, an owner and a realistic lead time. Maintain a monthly enablement calendar visible to the whole GTM organisation.

Drive adoption and behaviour change. Move beyond content delivery to ensure programmes actually change how people work. Co-facilitate live sessions, develop supporting materials and e-learning, gather real-time feedback, and iterate quickly. Understand what reinforcement looks like and how to embed learning into ongoing work.

Measure impact and report on ROI. Build dashboards that track completion, engagement, and business outcomes. Connect enablement activity to commercial metrics (win rates, deal velocity, customer outcomes). Report transparently on what's working, what's not, and what we should double down on.

Partner on content and validate quality. Work with subject-matter experts to validate enablement content for accuracy, relevance, and fit-for-purpose. Gather field feedback from reps and managers, iterate rapidly, and ensure content lands with real sellers in real deals.

Collaborate cross-functionally and own stakeholder relationships. Be a trusted point of contact for Go-to-Market managers and leaders (Sales, Customer Success, Partnerships). Keep them updated on programme progress, blockers, and outcomes. Build credibility through expertise and clear communication of impact. Partner with Sales Leadership, RevOps, Product Marketing, and Product to ensure enablement is aligned to commercial strategy and directly tied to business outcomes.

Diagnose and solve delivery challenges. When a programme isn't landing or blockers emerge, help to diagnose the root cause, drive timely solutions, and escalate strategically to maintain momentum.

Run onboarding. Coordinate GTM onboarding end to end and help reduce ramp time and time to first deal.

Leverage technology and tools. Use Sana Learn for platform management and content hosting. Work with Gong to analyse real calls and identify enablement gaps. Familiarise yourself with Hubspot for data. Explore how AI tools can accelerate content creation and personalised learning.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Enablement or GTM-adjacent experience. 3–5 years in Sales Enablement, L&D, or Go-to-Market operations. Track record of owning programmes end-to-end and knowing what it takes to make learning stick. Or 5+ years of SaaS sales experience with a strong passion for coaching and developing others.

Programme delivery capability. Proven ability to manage complex programmes from design through adoption. You understand the difference between one-off training and systemic behaviour change. You think in phases: awareness → skill-building → reinforcement → measurement.

Data and measurement mindset. Comfortable with data analysis and dashboard reporting to analyse performance. Experience connecting enablement initiatives to commercial outcomes (deal velocity, win rates, customer retention). You care about ROI, not just completion metrics.

Stakeholder management and communication. Ability to build trust with commercial leaders and function heads. You communicate clearly, translate between technical and business language, and escalate smartly. You're credible with experienced sellers, not just through title but through expertise.

Facilitation and coaching. Comfortable delivering live programmes, providing feedback, and coaching managers through adoption challenges. You can present confidently to senior commercial audiences and engage experienced sellers.

LMS and content creation tools. Familiarity with Sana or similar LMS platforms. Comfort using content creation tools (Canva, Tella, Google Slides) to build professional learning assets.

Sales stack familiarity. Working knowledge of Hubspot, Gong, Cognism, LinkedIn Sales Navigator. Understanding of how these tools connect and where data lives. Experience integrating AI into Enablement programmes is a strong plus.

Hands-on and strategic. The ability to execute day-to-day programme work while thinking about the bigger picture. You build programmes, not just manage them. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and solve the granular problems that get in the way of adoption.

Fluency in English; an additional European language (German or Spanish) is a strong plus.

Why is this role a good fit for you

This role is a good fit for you if:

You've delivered enablement programmes in B2B SaaS environments and want to own the end-to-end function in a fast-scaling company moving upmarket.

You thrive in roles where you're both a trusted partner to commercial leaders and a hands-on builder of programmes and content.

You're energised by the challenge of making enablement work, connecting the dots between content, adoption, behaviour change, and business outcomes.

You're comfortable with ambiguity and excited about helping to shape an enablement function as it scales and specialises. This role is continuously evolving as Pleo scales, and ambiguity is part of the job.

You want to work in a data-driven environment where impact is measured and communicated clearly.

The location

We're looking for an Account Executive to join our UKI Sales Team at Pleo. In this role, you'll help drive the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals and be part of a collaborative and successful sales unit as we scale Pleo's expense management solution.
Own the entire sales cycle - from outbound to qualification, product demos and deal conversion

Achieve new business revenue targets - focusing on building new relationships

Collaborate closely with the Customer Success team - to ensure the customers in your portfolio successfully adopt with Pleo

Become an expert in expense management

Give outstanding product presentations - acing those demos to get deals closed

Requirements

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

A track record of meeting sales quotas and targets - ideally including sourcing and closing your own deals

Great rapport building and confident presentation skills

Strong ability to accept feedback and adapt to new situations

Experience in outbound sales

Background in SaaS sales is preferred - ideally coming from an Account Executive closing role

Fluency in English

Who you'll be working with and reporting to

You'll report to our Sales Manager and work closely with teams in SDRs, Customer Success and Marketing. Our team is highly collaborative and dedicated to achieving revenue goals. You'll also have the chance to partner with teams across product to ensure success

How you'll develop in this role

In your first 6 months at Pleo, you'll:

Close your first key deals to drive impact in new business revenue

Build your own pipeline

Grow your skills in SaaS sales and expense management, taking on new challenges as Pleo continues to scale

Benefits

Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)

Lunch is on us - with catering in our Lisbon, Copenhagen and London offices or a monthly lunch allowance paid directly together with your salary in other markets

Private health insurance to ensure you’re fit in body and mind to do your best work

In the UK, we offer 25 days of holiday + your public holidays

For our Sales team we offer hybrid working, with up to two days a week from home three days a week in the London office

Option to purchase 5 additional days of holiday through a salary sacrifice

About the role

We're looking for a Talent Acquisition Partner to join our Talent Acquisition team at Pleo. In this role, you'll manage high-volume, mid-to-senior hiring across the organisation, partnering with teams across Tech, Commercial, Finance, Legal, Product and other functions.

You'll own multiple searches at once and play a key role in building strong, proactive talent pipelines that keep our hiring moving. You'll bring structure, pace and consistency to the recruitment process, using repeatable and scalable approaches while still creating a thoughtful experience for every candidate.

If you're someone who loves being organised, thrives when managing multiple priorities, enjoys proactive sourcing and gets satisfaction from turning complex hiring needs into well-run recruitment processes, we'd love to meet you.

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You’ll report to our Head of Talent Acquisition and work closely with hiring managers and stakeholders across Pleo, including senior leaders and functional teams across various business areas.

You'll be part of a collaborative team that values high-quality delivery, strong partnership and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with the wider People team and cross-functional partners to make sure our hiring processes are efficient, consistent and deliver a great experience for candidates and hiring teams.

What you’ll be doing

As a Talent Acquisition Partner, you will:

Own full-cycle recruitment across a high volume of mid-to-senior roles, managing multiple requisitions simultaneously across different functions.

Build proactive talent pipelines through sourcing, market mapping, talent research, referrals and personalised outreach - rather than relying on inbound applications alone.

Develop and use repeatable sourcing and recruitment processes that enable us to hire efficiently and consistently at scale.

Partner closely with hiring managers to understand requirements, agree hiring plans and keep searches moving from briefing through to offer.

Manage a busy recruitment workload with excellent organisation, prioritisation and attention to detail, ensuring no candidate or stakeholder falls through the cracks.

Create engaging, personalised outreach that gets the attention of passive candidates and builds interest in Pleo.

Use recruitment data and dashboards to track pipelines, identify bottlenecks and understand where searches need more focus.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruitment data and processes in tools such as Ashby, LinkedIn Recruiter, Notion and Google Sheets.

Use emerging AI and recruitment technology, including tools such as Claude, to improve research, sourcing, workflows and overall recruitment effectiveness.

Support effective and consistent technical hiring processes, including the use of tools such as CoderPad for assessments where relevant.

Champion inclusive hiring practices and ensure consistency and fairness throughout the recruitment process.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Proven experience managing a high volume of mid-to-senior recruitment requisitions simultaneously, ideally across multiple functions.

Strong proactive sourcing skills, with a track record of building talent pipelines from scratch and engaging passive candidates.

A highly organised and structured approach to recruitment. You naturally keep track of multiple searches, candidates, stakeholders, interviews and next steps without losing attention to detail.

Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to build trusted relationships with hiring managers while keeping them accountable to the recruitment process.

Excellent communication skills and a candidate-first mindset, with the ability to create a great experience even when managing a high volume of candidates.

A data-led approach to recruitment and confidence using metrics to monitor pipeline health, identify challenges and improve hiring outcomes.

An interest in using AI and emerging technology to make recruitment more efficient, effective and scalable.

Experience working in a fast-paced and scaling environment.

Experience using tools such as Ashby and Claude (preferred).

Why is this role a good fit for you

This role is a good fit for you if:

You enjoy managing lots of moving parts and get satisfaction from keeping complex recruitment processes organised and on track.

You're a proactive sourcer who enjoys finding great people who aren't actively looking and figuring out how to get them excited about Pleo.

You like having a clear process, but you're also constantly looking for ways to make it more efficient, scalable and effective.

You enjoy variety and want to recruit across different functions rather than specialising in one talent market.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you'll have a meaningful number of roles to own and plenty of opportunity to make an impact.

We’re looking for a Senior Sales Manager to join our commercial team at Pleo. In this role, you'll help drive hyper-growth across the UK/I market, lead and scale our high-performing Mid-Market sales organisation, and be part of our commercial leadership team as we scale our smart company spending platform. If you're excited about leading an entrepreneurial sales engine, empowering reps through coaching and frameworks like MEDDIC, and are passionate about the future of corporate spend management and Fintech, then this is the opportunity for you!

Represent Pleo’s commercial function in the field, championing our vision, brand, and product across the industry.

Partner with Marketing, RevOps, and Product to align pipeline generation, process efficiency, and product feedback loop with market demand

To put things into context, we’re currently scaling our mid-market footprint across UKI and optimising cross-functional GTM alignment on our roadmap. You can expect to work with the following tech stack: HubSpot, Gong, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Claude.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

Expertise in embedding MEDDPICC, value-based selling, and structured pipeline management across a sales organization

Passion for hiring, coaching, and developing talent while maintaining a culture of accountability and healthy competition

Hands-on approach with the confidence to jump into complex deal discussions and coach on objection handling or closing strategies

You thrive on building, coaching, and elevating high-potential sales talent into high performers

You love being both strategic and hands-on, willing to hop on high-value calls alongside your reps to close deals

You want to be the executive face of a hyper-growth product with an incredible culture

This role is not a good fit for you if:

You do not use structure frameworks like MEDDPICC to guide sales forecasts and deal execution

You prefer a rigid corporate structure over a dynamic, fast-paced scale up environment

How you’ll develop in this role

Account Manager II (German Speaking)

We're looking for a commercially-minded Account Manager to join our Mid-Market Account Management Team at Pleo. In this role, you'll help grow and expand our existing customer base and be part of the Customer Growth & Expansion team as we scale. If you're excited about strategic account management, obsessed with customer outcomes, know how to unlock expansion across complex organisation, you love nurturing relationships, identifying growth levers, proving ROI, and are passionate about spend management, then this is the opportunity for you!

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You’ll report to our Senior Sales Manager, Account Management and work closely with teams in Customer Success, Deal Desk, Pricing and Enablement. Our team of 16 is highly collaborative and dedicated to delivering value and growing our existing customer base. You’ll also have the chance to partner with teams across Sales, Support, Product and Marketing to ensure success.

What you’ll be doing

As an Account Manager, you will:

Identify and close opportunities within your book of business to grow accounts through upsells, new entities, teams, and product capabilities aligned to evolving customer needs.

Build deep relationships with key stakeholders to understand their strategic initiatives, and uncover whitespace opportunities.

Use MEDDICC (or similar) to rigorously qualify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to ensure forecast accuracy and deal velocity.

Showcase new product features, integrations, and advanced workflows that drive stronger adoption and platform value for upsells.

Create custom proposals and business cases that quantify value, align with commercial goals, and support customer budgeting cycles.

Work across senior finance, procurement, and operations stakeholders to land multi-threaded expansions.

Lead commercial conversations ensuring terms reflect the value Pleo delivers.

Use customer success stories, usage data, and ROI metrics to proactively pitch new functionality and deepen platform adoption.

What you bring

You’ll thrive in this role if you have:

A solid understanding of value-based selling and consultative approach

Skilled in contract negotiations and building business cases linking features to value

Strong understanding of qualification methodologies (e.g., MEDDICC)

A passion for solving problems with a solution-oriented approach

Data-driven, goal-oriented, and accurate forecasting ability

Strong commercial acumen and ability to navigate senior stakeholders

A background in SaaS Account Management or Customer Growth with a proven track record of expansion revenue and high net revenue retention

Complete fluency in English and German

Why is this role a good fit for you

You are naturally curious and driven to map out complex organisations, identifying white space where Pleo can solve a genuine business need.

You get a rush from closing upsells by proving ROI and prefer driving proactive growth over simply waiting for a renewal.

You use frameworks like MEDDICC to keep deals on track and can easily show a CFO how tech features translate into financial value.

How you’ll develop in this role

Legal Counsel - Employment Law Leaning (Mat Cover)

We're looking for an interim In-house Legal Counsel to join our Legal team at Pleo in Copenhagen, Denmark. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted legal advisor across the business, protecting our interests and enabling growth as we scale our fintech platform. If you're excited about working at the intersection of legal strategy and operational excellence, and are passionate about building a compliant, well-governed fintech company, then this is the opportunity for you!

Please note that the role is a parental leave cover and therefore fixed-term until 30 September 2027.

Who you’ll be working with and reporting to

You'll report to one of our Associate Director, Legal and work closely with teams in People, Fraud, Finance, Product, Compliance and Operations. Our legal team is highly collaborative and dedicated to managing legal risk while enabling business velocity.

What you’ll be doing

As an In-house Legal Counsel, you will:

Serve as the primary point of contact for business queries across all departments, providing timely, practical legal guidance on day-to-day operational matters.

Support our People team on employment law, workplace policies, and labor compliance, including contract reviews, policy drafting, and regulatory adherence across multiple jurisdictions.

Corporate administration by drafting, reviewing, and amending internal policies, procedures, and standardised legal templates that the business can use efficiently.

Assist managing fraud and compliance escalations by conducting liability assessments, performing compliance checks, and providing risk mitigation advice to protect the business.

Assist with customer disputes and regulatory engagement with the UK Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), supporting escalations, preparing responses, and helping to ensure we meet all regulatory deadlines and requirements.

What you bring

You'll thrive in this role if you have:

A Cand.Jur or equivalent legal qualification recognised in Denmark.

2-5 years of legal experience – ideally in fintech, financial services, or a fast-growing scale-up environment where you've handled a broad range of matters.

Knowledge about employment law and HR compliance – you understand the nuances of employment contracts, workplace policies, and labor law across multiple jurisdictions.

Strong vendor and contract management skills – you can review, negotiate, and draft commercial agreements efficiently.

Excellent communication skills – you can translate complex legal concepts into practical business advice for non-legal stakeholders.

A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset – you see problems as opportunities and can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with compliance and risk management in a regulated industry is a plus as well as managing regulatory escalations and disputes, particularly with financial regulators or ombudsman services.

Why is this role a good fit for you

This role is a good fit for you if:

You want a real look at how the law works in practice, where you implement it and explain it rather than argue it in theory

You want genuine input into decisions, balancing the technically correct answer against what actually works commercially

You like building things that outlast you: templates, policies and process that the business will use long after your contract ends

This role is not a good fit for you if:

You want a clean roadmap. The team is under-resourced and the workload is heavy, so expect more firefighting than planned work

You're looking for a permanent role. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract covering parental leave

You want to specialise deeply or lead. This is a broad, hands-on individual contributor role where you'll be supported, not managing

How you’ll develop in this role

In your first three months at Pleo, you'll:

Take over the routine employment workload so it runs independently of your manager

Get to know the business well enough that your advice fits how Pleo actually operates, not just what the regulation says

Start shaping the policies and templates the move from startup to corporate needs

Across the 12 months you'll build in-house practice and a working knowledge of fintech regulation that's hard to get anywhere else, with direct support from an experienced lead. Plenty of people use a contract like this as the step that takes them from theory into commercial legal work for good.

The location

This role will is a hybrid role with an expectation of spending on average 3 days a week in our Copenhagen office.

Show me the benefits!

Option to purchase 5 additional days of holiday through a salary sacrifice

We use MyndUp to give our employees access to free mental health and well-being support with great success so far

Paid parental leave - we want to make sure that we're supportive of families and help you feel that you don't have to compromise your family due to work

What we can say is that we’re a driven, progressive, and, importantly, a kind bunch of 850+ people from over 100 nationalities, all committed to delivering the future of business spending, together.

We at Pleo are on a mission to make spend management surprisingly effective and empowering. We build a product used by thousands of companies across Europe, and our web app is a core part of that experience.

We’re hiring a Staff Engineer to join Web Core , our frontend platform team. The Web Core team exists to enable product engineers across Pleo to build and ship high-quality web software. We own the foundations of the web stack (tooling, patterns, architecture, reliability of the developer workflow), and we partner closely with product teams to make delivery faster, safer, and more consistent.

What Web Core does

Build and maintain a web platform that teams use to efficiently deliver excellent web experiences.

Drive technical excellence across Pleo’s web applications (architecture, patterns, quality, performance, accessibility).

Improve developer experience (DX) through tooling, CI reliability, and fast feedback loops.

Steward shared web foundations (libraries, conventions, golden paths) and support adoption.

Facilitate and contribute to the broader frontend community at Pleo.

What you’ll be doing

As a Staff Engineer in Web Core, you will be a force multiplier. You’ll work across teams and systems to remove constraints and raise the bar for how we build and run web software.

Set technical direction for parts of our web platform, and drive alignment across teams.

Identify the biggest leverage opportunities for web engineering at Pleo (quality, delivery speed, reliability) and execute on them.

Partner with product engineers and leads to design solutions that fit the wider ecosystem.

Build and evolve internal tooling, frameworks, and golden paths that scale across teams.

Improve the reliability and usability of our CI and local developer workflows.

Coach and mentor engineers, and help grow technical leadership in the frontend community.

Contribute hands-on in code. This role blends strategy and execution. You should expect to be coding a meaningful part of the time.

You’ll bring solid experience with

Building and maintaining complex web applications at scale.

TypeScript and modern frontend engineering (React experience is a plus).

Designing maintainable systems (including frontend-facing APIs and platform boundaries).

Testing practices and tooling (unit, integration, end-to-end) and a strong quality mindset.

CI/CD and developer productivity improvements (faster, more reliable feedback loops).

Observability and monitoring practices for web systems (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting).

Working effectively across teams and stakeholders, and communicating tradeoffs clearly.

Your colleagues would say you

Lead by example and raise the bar with pragmatism and care.

Communicate clearly, listen well, and bring people along in decisions.

Enjoy breaking down complex problems, gathering input, and driving to a solution.

Coach others and create space for people to grow.

Prefer progress over perfection, while still caring deeply about quality.

Show me the benefits

Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)

We provide access to MyndUp to give our employees access to free mental health and wellbeing support with great success so far

Access to LinkedIn Learning - acquire new skills, stay abreast of industry trends and fuel your personal and professional development continuously

Analytics Engineer

Pleo's Intelligence function covers the full analytical picture - product behaviour, GTM performance, commercial data science, financial reporting, and operational intelligence. The Analytics Engineers who serve these teams own the data modelling layer that all of it runs on: dbt models, metric definitions, and semantic layer contributions that analysts, product teams, and AI tools depend on to get consistent, trustworthy answers.

You will be embedded in the Product Intelligence team, building the tracking, experimentation, and data modelling foundations that make product data trustworthy and self-serve. You'll join a close-knit team actively migrating our analytics stack onto a new Analytics Warehouse and Omni, moving off legacy tools like Looker and Hippocampus. If you want to build the infrastructure that other people's product decisions run on rather than just report on what exists, this is the opportunity for you.

Who you'll work with and reporting to

You will report to an Analytics Manager leading Product Intelligence and Growth Intelligence. You'll partner closely with Product Managers, Product Analysts, and Engineering to get tracking, experimentation, and metric definitions right from the ground up. You'll also engage with the broader Analytics Engineering community across Pleo to drive shared standards, especially around the semantic layer that keeps metrics consistent across the organization.

What you'll be doing

Build and maintain dbt models in our new Analytics Warehouse, using a clean, layered architecture and migrating logic off legacy tools as you go.

Own tracking plan implementation and QA directly in Segment and Amplitude in close partnership with Product and Engineering.

Support experimentation by modelling assignment and outcome data into structured formats that analysts and PMs can query directly.

Define and document metrics in our semantic layer, ensuring a single authoritative definition so downstream BI tools and AI applications yield consistent answers.

Apply AI-augmented data modelling practices as a standard part of how you write, review, and migrate code.

Partner with Product Managers and Analysts to turn one-off questions into durable, reusable data models.

Maintain data quality in your domain through dbt tests, freshness SLAs, and proactive monitoring.

What you bring

Solid SQL and dbt experience, with a clear comfort owning models end to end.

Working knowledge of event-based tracking tools like Segment or Amplitude.

Experience with Git-based development workflows, including opening and reviewing pull requests.

Clear communication skills to explain data definitions and structures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Genuine day-to-day use of AI tooling as part of your standard coding and workflow routine.

Comfort navigating ambiguity and untangling legacy logic to build modern foundations.

This role is NOT a good fit if

You only want to write dashboards without touching or owning the underlying data models.

You require rigid processes and heavy upfront structure before taking initiative.

You prefer to avoid data migration, cleanup work, and legacy system refactoring.

Your first 6 months

Ramp up: Master our dbt project structure, tracking plans, and migration roadmap while shipping small, reviewed code changes early on.

Take ownership: Own a dedicated slice of the migration, such as an event domain or our core experimentation data models.

Drive consistency: Establish semantic layer definitions for your domain so analysts and PMs can self-serve accurate metrics without custom workarounds.

Our tech stack context

Data warehouse: GCP / BigQuery (new Analytics Warehouse)

Transformation: dbt

Orchestration: Airflow

Tracking and Product Analytics: Segment, Amplitude

BI and Analytics: Omni (migrating off legacy Looker and Hippocampus)

Languages: SQL

Show me the benefits!

Your own Pleo card (no more out-of-pocket spending!)

Lunch is on us for your work days, enjoy catered meals or receive a lunch allowance based on your local office.

Comprehensive private healthcare depending on your location (coverage options include Vitality, Alan, or Médis).

Flexible working options supporting both hybrid and fully remote setups.

Free mental health and well-being support through MyndUp.

Generous paid parental leave policies to support growing families.
