Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation within MES. Support new product introduction activities through inspection validation and process capability assessment. <p>Knowledge, skills &amp; experience: Proven experience in composites inspection or detailed quality inspection for both visual and structural components. Experience working with carbon fibre composite materials and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of composite repair techniques and repair inspection criteria is highly desirable. Experience using Manufacturing Execution Systems such as DelmiaApriso or similar production control systems is advantageous. Understanding of dimensional inspection techniques and use of inspection equipment (e.g., CMM, scanning arms) is desirable. Experience of working in a low volume/niche vehicle manufacturing environment is advantageous. Understanding of automotive quality processes (APQP &amp; PPAP) is beneficial but not essential. <p>Key Responsibilities:</p>

<li>Produce high-quality automotive parts using pre-preg composite materials</li>
<li>Adhere to validated process cycle/TAKT times</li>
<li>Maintain the highest quality standards on all manufactured composites components</li>
<li>Support Team Leader with prioritizing work and other activities</li>
<li>Contribute to training and development of other team members</li>
<li>Ensure the work area is clean, tidy, and orderly, and maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others</li>
<li>Proactively contribute to developing processes to improve quality and efficiency</li>
<li>Set an example to production operatives</li>
<li>Provide support on all processes in the department</li>

<p>Requirements:</p>
<ul>
<li>Previous background in composites manufacturing and the associated Assembly/Fitting processes is essential</li>
<li>Pre-preg assembly/fitting experience, including hand trimming parts and experience using various hand tools, CNC/Robot operation, Bonding processes using various adhesives, etc.</li>
<li>Thorough understanding of composite materials</li>
<li>Experience and understanding of Quality issues</li>
<li>Has developed proficiency in a range of processes or procedures through job-related training and considerable on-the-job expertise</li>
<li>Must demonstrate previous experience of using their own initiative and work under minimum supervision</li>
<li>Ability to read and draw information from engineering drawings/manuals</li>
<li>Have a good knowledge base of materials</li>
</ul>
