As a CNC Machine Setter, you will be responsible for setting up and running 5-axis CNC machines utilising Powermill software. Your primary focus will be machining patterns, moulds, and component trimming for carbon fibre components. The ideal candidate will have experience in working to a high level of accuracy and tight deadlines with minimal supervision. A recognised apprenticeship and BTEC qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Setting up and running 5-axis CNC machines
  • Machining patterns, moulds, and component trimming for carbon fibre components
  • Utilising Powermill software to generate set-up sheets
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy and meeting tight deadlines
  • Collaborating with the CNC Manager and team members to achieve production goals

As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for trimming, bonding and assembling carbon fibre components utilising engineering drawings and build manuals. You will also help develop processes to improve quality and efficiency. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as well as being constantly aware of health and safety.

You will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and be part of a team. We are looking for someone who is practical, enjoys practical working and has a positive attitude. Good problem-solving skills and flexibility are also required.

You will be offered in-depth training and have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge.

The successful candidate will have a passion for the F1 and Automotive industry, good hand-eye coordination and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Carpentry/Woodwork skills are also transferable.

This is a permanent contract with 40 hours per week and a competitive salary and benefits package.
