<p>We&#39;re looking for a Senior Corporate Sales Representative to join our growing UK Sales team. This is a quota-carrying, full-cycle role focused on driving new business and expansion within mid-market accounts.</p>

<li>Provide timely and accurate forecasts and clear visibility on sales and revenue performance by actively handling your pipeline of opportunities.</li>
<li>Manage strong working relationships with internal partners, including sales engineering, sales development &amp; customer success.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Expectations</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>In your first 30 days, you will learn about CockroachDB and will be able to pitch the product proficiently.</li>
<li>After three months, you&#39;ll have a sound plan for account strategy and mapping.</li>
<li>After six months, you will have at least 5x your quota in the pipeline and will have several active POCs in process.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1-2+ years of closing sales experience with demonstrated success in selling a SaaS product or adjacent technology.</li>
<li>3-5 years of total experience, ideally within B2B software sales.</li>
<li>A strong ability to connect with customers by actively listening to determine their needs.</li>
<li>A track record of overachievement and hitting sales targets.</li>
<li>Previous Sales Methodology training (e.g., MEDDICC, SPIN, Challenger Sales).</li>
<li>Strong time and resource management skills.</li>
<li>College degree or equivalent work experience.</li>

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<li>Improve the performance of CockroachDB.</li>
<li>Work closely with other engineers and product managers across both the cloud and database teams.</li>

<li>Ensure that CockroachDB remains scalable, survivable, and consistent as we continue to grow as a company.</li>

<p><strong>Expectations</strong></p>
<p>In your first 30 days, you will become an integrated member of our engineering team. You’ll spend time learning about the Storage team’s domain, processes and people, as well as learning about CockroachDB and CockroachDB Cloud. After 3 months, you will be fully integrated into the team and comfortable contributing to the Storage team’s execution in partnership with Product and Design. After 6 months, you’ll be fully integrated into the Storage team and have a deep understanding of the tech stack and other areas of the Engineering organization.</p>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience working on complex technical products and have exposure to distributed systems, concurrency control, file systems, data replication, or memory management.</li>
<li>Comfort using programming languages like Go, C/C++, Java, and Python. We use Go, but if you don&#39;t know it, you&#39;ll learn while you&#39;re here.</li>
<li>A solid product architecture knowledge and grasp how a variety of team interactions’ may impact it.</li>
<li>Experience (or strong interest) in adopting AI-centric development workflows.</li>
<li>3+ years of relevant experience is ideal.</li>
<li>A BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience.</li>
<li>Bonus: Experience with storage systems (e.g., preferably Log-Structured Merge Trees, Pebble, etc.)</li>
<li>Bonus: Experience building, running and debugging large-scale distributed systems in production.</li>
<li>Bonus: you want to play an active role in how we use AI to reduce toil and build high-quality software.</li>

<p>Andy leads the Storage team within the Database Platform organization, where he oversees the development of Pebble, a Log Structured Merge (LSM) tree implementation (akin to RocksDB, but with innovative features for a SQL database). Based in Seattle with his family, Andy enjoys hiking, playing badminton, and spending quality time with his children outside of work.</p>
<p>Jordan Lewis - VP of Engineering</p>
<p>Jordan is the Head of Engineering for Cockroach Labs. He’s responsible for the teams that build, maintain and keep CockroachDB reliably serving the needs of Cockroach Labs’ most demanding customer base. He joined Cockroach Labs as a Database Engineer in 2016 when it was just 25 people before moving into engineering leadership leading the Global Engineering organization. Jordan lives in his hometown of Brooklyn NY with his wife. Outside of work he enjoys folk music and riding his electric scooter around town.</p>

<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>Our Account Executives target and close new business with some of today&#39;s most innovative companies. In this role, you&#39;ll both nurture inbound leads in your territory with marketing-led support as well as prospect into a target list of select accounts. You will do this by driving opportunities through the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation to closure, employing a value-oriented sales methodology with a focus on use cases spanning customer data and marketing activation. <p>After three months, you&#39;ll have a sound plan for account strategy and mapping. You have started building relationships with several leaders across your region and are beginning to understand their challenges and how CockroachDB can help solve them.</p>
<p>After six months, you will have 3x your quota in pipeline and will have at least 3 POCs in process.</p>
