YubHub-native raw fields carry `x-` prefix.","jobs":[{"@context":"https://schema.org","@type":"JobPosting","identifier":{"@type":"PropertyValue","name":"YubHub","value":"job_4d0552e6-daf"},"title":"Clinical & Health Informaticist - Senior","description":"<p>The Clinical &amp; Health Informaticist - Senior role challenges the status quo of the healthcare experience through the Science of Informatics.</p>\n<p>This is an exciting field where experts innovate, design, simplify and translate technology to equitably support the Intermountain Health mission and vision.</p>\n<p>The role is responsible to independently perform workflow and system analysis and functional design for software development/configuration activities associated with the EHR and other Health Information Technology (HIT)-related initiatives.</p>\n<p>Caregivers in this role are also responsible to participate in the implementation, training, adoption and process improvement of the EHR and other clinical applications.</p>\n<p>The Informaticist functions as a liaison with business and clinical users and the software development/application teams to ensure solutions are designed with safety, the clinician experience, and clinical best practices in mind.</p>\n<p>This position utilises an advanced informatics skillset, to support and periodically lead complex projects independently.</p>\n<p><strong>Essential Functions</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Utilise knowledge of workflows in an integrated healthcare system to positively impact the use of technology by caregivers</li>\n<li>Form relationships with members of the care team with diverse backgrounds</li>\n<li>Work flex hours based on project requirements</li>\n<li>Effectively use change management, organisational skills and continuous improvement in projects and day-to-day work</li>\n<li>Independently prioritise and organise work with attention to detail and limited supervision or revision</li>\n<li>Use word processing, spreadsheet, database, internet and e-mail, virtual meeting applications, and scheduling applications</li>\n<li>Engage providers, nurses, and other clinicians through effective presentation and communication</li>\n<li>Use functional design methodologies, tools, techniques, and HIT fundamentals within assigned work</li>\n<li>Analyse workflow data, literature, new technology, best practice, and standards to meaningfully impact workflow design and training</li>\n<li>Knowledge of the functional architecture, security, and compliance requirements relevant to HIT to meaningfully impact system design</li>\n<li>Round in facilities across the system to observe workflows, meet with key stakeholders, assist with implementations, and other targeted functions</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Demonstrated informatics experience performing gap analysis, usability assessments, problem definition, HIT optimisation, clinical workflow analysis, and other core informatics skills</li>\n<li>Experience influencing clinical leaders, providers, nurses, and other clinicians in decision-making and conflict resolution</li>\n<li>Experience applying informatics fundamentals (People, Process, Technology) to impact quality and safety</li>\n<li>Experience successfully leading complex projects or initiatives, small project teams, and achieving the desired budget, outcomes and goals</li>\n<li>Experience working with Cerner, Epic, or other EHR vendors and associated health information technology</li>\n<li>Experience or training in the use of Continuous Improvement</li>\n<li>Experience cultivating productive relationships with executive clinical and business leaders</li>\n<li>Experience managing complex informatics portfolios across multiple healthcare domains</li>\n<li>Registered Nurse and other licensed clinical incumbents must hold and maintain current state licensure.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>Physical Requirements</strong></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess customer needs.</li>\n<li>Frequent interactions with customers that require employee to communicate as well as understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately.</li>\n<li>Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer, phone, and cable set-up and use.</li>\n<li>Expected to lift and utilise full range of movement to transport, pull, and push equipment. Will also work on hands and knees and bend to set-up, troubleshoot, lift, and carry supplies and equipment.
