Key Responsibilities

• Support residents with a wide range of differing requirements from companionship to personal care.
• Observe and manage residents' behaviour with care and ensure to document and report any changes in accordance with the required legislation.
• Support residents' nutrition and hydration needs, encouraging and assisting them to eat and drink according to their care plan.
• Provide essential physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, both in groups and individually.
• Maintain accurate care plans in line with regulatory and legal requirements.

What we're looking for:

• Motivation, positivity, and great interpersonal skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a care home environment or a Health and Social Care qualification.

What you'll be doing:

• Lead and coordinate the unit overnight
• Support clinical care alongside the Nurse (meds, observations, care plans)
• Mentor, train, and support new team members
• Support shift handovers and communicate effectively across teams
• Review and update care plans
• Build positive relationships with residents, families, GPs, and healthcare professionals
• Provide compassionate personal care and promote resident wellbeing

What we're looking for:

• Previous experience working in a Care Assistant role, ideally at Senior Care Assistant level
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, or willingness to work towards it with our support
• Confidence leading and motivating a small care team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A genuine passion for delivering outstanding person-centred care
